I would kiss any warranty goodbye. You know he wouldn't stand behind this car if it had problems!!!

I know you feel this is the PERFECT Porsche, but it will always have a black cloud over it. After owning several Porsches over the years, and searching for rare and special ones, I know you can find another one.

I would walk....
+1 Especially in the off chance that it turns out to be a lemon!

Maybe you have your smoking gun now. As I read above - Did the dealer sign something in writing to the effect he will submit the contract for funding for the return of the rims? Sounds like he just admitted to extortion and breech of contract in good faith. That may be all you need in a civil suit and to report him to the authorities.

I understand the deal is done and you have swapped the rims. Do what you feel is right at this point but I think its time to just enjoy your new to you C4S.

I had an extensive PPI done at my cost at my shop. He told me I would be foolish not to buy the car, that's why I did.

There is no warranty, I said paper work stating that.

I have a lot of smoking guns, that is not the problem. This is one of those things that happens, & you can't do anything about till after it's all done. Kind of like when you get pulled over for speeding at a stop light, we all know you were not speeding, but you still get the ticket & stuff.

Forgetting about all the other stuff, this dealer must be ABSOLUTELY CRAZY to think a 996 of any variety could be sold with CHROME 993 TWISTS!

The Capital One/E-Loan finance option works great. I've used it on or as leverage on the past four cars I have bought.

60+K on a C4S! Damm. Maybe with 5k miles. This may be a godsend. Take it back and get a TT or just go get a NEW Cayman.

My wife is a moderator for the BBB, I'll get her take on it from your story and post it a little later.

I'd lose the wheels before I'd lose the whole car. Sounds like you like the car. Yeah, the dealer's a sh@tbag but you will still end up with a great 993.

Stealth 993...Are you going to tell us who the guy/dealer is or just keep ignoring the question. Some of us live in the area and may not want to get caught up with this person.

This entire story stinks....and a guy wants to whine and tell us that he "wanted support for being worked over", but doesn't want to do anything about it.

DONE!

there is also a car dealers inspection group that moniters this type of issues turn it over to them. I had an issue with a Corvette that was fraud telling me it was something it was not I bought the car and then found out call the dealer they said no so I contacted the sate dealers inspector and they took the car back and I received a full refund.

Default Just buy this one

and use the money you will save to make it a car "you would be crazy not to buy". There is also another 4S at the shop on NE 20th that is Glacier White for way more money.

FYI...no affiliation

[QUOTE=Stealth 993;4658989]Ok, so I'm new, I just purchased a 1997 C4S, it came with stock chrome wheels. I said no way, & they swapped them out for 996 Turbo wheels, off a turbo that was in stock.

<snip>
why continue to deal with this loser?
tell him he can have the car back after he pays for your expenses.
then buy a better one from a private owner and be happy

be safe

In my oppinion get your money back, givem back the effin car and start clean.
Is not worth the aggravation and all the complications. If you own the car and something happens to it,you will always have in the back of your mind "maybe this car wasnt meant to be for me",and you will start hating it.In your price range there are a lot of nice 993s,just keep your eyes open.
Just my oppinion of course.Good luck!
