I guess ya'll are going to make me tell him.....
You completely missed the joke. His cup car is RWD. He was not agreeing with you.
And not a single F1 car is AWD.... since you want to compare oranges to bicycles.
This is dumb and I fell for it. Well done, I'm out.

Hi there Dave,
Welcome aboard, sir! Well the bickering happens, but really isn't prevalent. I've been around "here" for a while now and you'll meet a bunch of generous, tech savvy, and kind folks in these parts, truly. Lots of "wow, that saved my butt, thanks" threads, believe me. So like so many things in human interaction, overlook some of the pettiness and stick around. I have, and it's a great place not only to learn, but to hang out and sling the verbiage

What means LSD?
I agree about the C4S, my car is by far the best car I ever had the previledge to own. On dry roads, it takes sharp curves very fast without ever having a feeling of loss of control. t's impressive.
However, one thing I need to mention. I once drove the C4S in the rain, getting onto the Autobahn at only 50 mi/h.
When accelerating I almost lost control, the car went sideways, perhaps about 15' and it didn't feel great for a second.
So, even with a four wheel drive, be careful on wet roads with a C4S, it can get tricky.

I was on a "Rennlist Run" long ago and we all drove over a mild crest and a 993TT spun around and ended up off the road, in the weeds, backward. So a widebody car, with summer tires, on an excellent road, in superb weather, with AWD/ABD, "lost it." Fortunately, our friends were perfectly fine, if not a bit shaken, but the car had to be towed home ...no bueno! Yeah, it happens. Our 911 breed is a different animal: capable of so much, but likewise can surprise the uninitiated. And let's face it, with today's cars getting so many more electro-performance enhancers, it's all too easy these days to be lulled to the fast side and then find oneself beyond the capabilities of the car's performance envelope (driver, meet physics ).
Good on you for sharing your experience here as it serves as an excellent reminder for us all, including the seasoned. (side note: anyone with track experience not only knows about what happens at a crest but practices it ...this is my PSA for folks who have no desire to track their 993 to attend at least one DE to understand a 911's dynamics). BTW, this is certainly no indictment on our friends who suffered this malady. As many can attest, btdt!

I don’t think it gets much better for narrow body non RS Carrera’s. Can’t imagine what they are asking.

That was all the money back then. I bought my bone stock 95 C2 manual coupe with 60k miles not long before that car came up for sale for $24k, WB cars could be had in the $30s with over 100k miles back then. In 2010 my friend bought a very nice 97 C2S manual for $38k with I think about 55k miles.

Yup….back then, I passed on a 35,000 miles car because the guy wouldn’t go from $26m to $22m, because he sold the stock hardback sport seats and replaced them with base seats. I also passed on a $22m Guards Red C4 with lowish miles because it was a C4 and I wanted a C2.

$145K with 13hrs to go. Will be interesting to see where this C4 time capsule ends up.

that's one of the cleanest I've ever seen! I still feel bad though when I see these low mileage cars- they're meant to be driven!!!
