Depending on who does the PPI. Some places can miss a lot of items and also be in cahoots with the selling dealer. Do your own homework as well.

PPIs …. Have a buddy of mine that bought a used 458 Ferrari and had it PPId by a Ferrari Dealer in the area and they missed $12,600 worth of issues! He had to hire a attorney to get reimbursed and that took over a 1.5 years to settle.

Who paid for it, the Ferrari dealer or the seller?

No my buddy paid to have the PPI at this specific Ferrari Dealer not the seller. He sued the Ferrari Dealer who did the PPI. Some of the stuff they missed was so glaring it was unbelievable! They didn’t look at **** and took his money.

I nearly purchased the same color combo targa back in 2004 but it sadly had serious undisclosed accident damage.

This is why nobody will do PPI's anymore. We live in a litigious society although you rarely get what you paid for.

PPI is always a good idea

Gaining as much knowledge about a 993 yourself prior to the PPI is an even better idea - that way you will know what you can check yourself and what someone else needs to check for you.

Given the internet today, very easy to gain a lot of knowledge and very quickly via RL, you tube, and other sources.

Pretty sure this was the car its former owner sold for $80k a few months ago because he "didn't want to start a bidding war." Looks like it cost him some 37 grand. I tried to buy it and was one of the few "select prospective buyers" but the guy ended up ghosting me.

Buyer also paid $5K bidder fee to BaT, so he paid $117,500.
