NB Prices are Bananas

Looking at the traces of wear on the steering wheel and on the driver's seat (next to the seat adjustment buttons) I have a hard time believing the claimed mileage is actually correct. And then this car (and its pricetag) are getting quite smelly...

Zoom in shot of the radio, but not one clear pic of the Speedo /ODO?? In one of the shots that shows the wear on the steering wheel, looks like the ODO shows 79434 kms, Not a clear pic, but that's what it looks like to me.

I know, if it was serviced at any moment in its life. But with just 500 km's on the clock, it probably had no service at all.

If it had been serviced and miles recorded above stated that would be a red flag immediately.
There was someone selling a 3.6T prototype turbo not long ago. It was painted black and had some custom work done. Yet when I ran the vin it was actually a violet blue car and was not remotely close to what they claimed. When big money comes into play people will do anything to con unsuspecting buyers. I can tell you about a 993 turbo S spec car being passed off as actual turbo S and the seller is well known and highly regarded. No chance he didn't know it was a fugazi but tried to pawn it off for top dollar.
PPI is always a must or pass.
Maybe I misread but that was the mileage listed in the listing.

Don't know whether it's a scam attempt, or just glossing over some very key details. This part makes no sense unless they are saying the car is going to be restored to like new condition. And chose 500 KM as anticipated "mileage after restoration"
The 993 is currently being completely restored to new vehicle condition. The vehicle is offered including a new TÜV / AU, new major maintenance, new tires and a new windscreen.
All it says is the history is completely verified, including mileage. But doesn't say which mileage number. If it really is that low (2 owners?) what are the odds that it's 500 on the nose?

Yup, in 95 Riviera Blue was standard and in 96 Blue Turquoise was standard.

It looks like the odo says 179,439 km.

Shhh yellow then red then yellow again. How did you guess LOL.
I glossed over most of this but looking over the ad's content it seems to say a rare combo of Turquoise over black J1J1 which wouldn't be PTS. Although it does show PTS in the Highlights. Very carefully worded to confuse.

Sloan has this very highly optioned ‘97 Targa. Despite having a long options list, I find the spec weird looking. The aero kit, high ride height, wheels, and interior configuration is very strange.

This car is a super-unique, 100% factory example. The custom leather covers everything - including lots of stuff that's typically leatherette... the rails on the roof on either side of the glass, the trims below the back windows, the package tray / wall behind the back seat. Etc. It's also a little more orange IRL than in the pictures. The leather combined with the grey carpets is a totally unique combination. Not my thing (I don't do red leather), but certainly very special and VERY well cared for.
Re: ride height, it's set up as it came - with standard American ride-height, which does look weird with the aero-kit, but would be an easy change.
It was sitting right next to this stunner:

...a factory aero kit with factory M030. The M030 height was a much better look with the aero kit.
