For me the 911 stopped at 997.2 Currently looking for a turbo.
Everything after that just got bloated. .

After getting a 997.2 I feel this way too. 991/992 feels like a whole new era, which is great, just not my taste.

This is as good a place as any to ask this question. I am considering moving on from my 993 and have no idea how to price it. Any thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

'95 c2 aventurine/classic grey, manual, 86k miles. Lots of modifications including RS uprights, RS sways, every bushing/link has been upgraded, pss10 (just rebuilt by psi in Sonoma), RS cams, cat delete (have oem cat), fabspeed mufflers, RS shifter with golden rod, guard LSD, RS clutch/flywheel, steve wong chip, second oil cooler, rear rollbar, sparco seats, sparco harnesses, sparco dished steering wheel, rear seats are gone, rennline lower dash delete, getty ducktail.

This car has been used quite a bit on the track by myself and the PO (my brother). It is far from the typical cars and coffee car and I want to price it accordingly. Front end has plenty of rock chips, paint is original but has some scratches/dings commiserate with the DEs and being ~27 years old.

Sounds like a unique car, so hard to know how many folks will like the spec. Could be a good candidate for BAT, where the cars get good exposure and let the market decide. You need to set a reserve price you can live with. Maybe something in the $65k to $75k works and hope for something more??

BAT has a maximum reserve that they will allow you to list based on their valuation of your vehicle. You can use that number as the base and go from there.

I have a 991.2 tt with 4 wheel steering. It feels a lot smaller than the 991.1. I don’t think I’m ever going to sell it.

I’ve also purchased two 964s (one for the vacation house). Love them, but they both needed an amazing amount of work to replace 30 year old rubber and electrical bits to gain reliability and safety. (What’s up with mechanics who think 30 year old fuel lines and brake lines that were around when Clinton was president “look ok”?). I think the 991 is going to make the 964s look cheap to maintain, but I’m 63, so by the time my 2017 is 30 years old, I’ll certainly not be driving and probably long dead.

Was checking prices of NB 993 recently, prices in Europe have increased a lot (even cabs, tiptronic or cars with more than 120k miles).
Compared to a year and a half ago, I would now need to pay roughly +25% for the same configuration to get my none-varioram black on black C2 coupe. Crazy.

The market seems to be getting a little weird. This one closed on BaT today, and it didn't get bid up anywhere near as high as I expected.

Yeah, that is an outlier, well bought. Desirable color combo to some people too. I would much prefer a Varioram 96+ engine personally.

Although records were mentioned and a picture of the folders was included, nothing was highlighted that would make a buyer believe it's in a high state of maintenance. It would lead me to believe the opposite and I would need to talk to the owner and go over every record to make a decision.

It didn't actually meet reserve, so it didn't sell. Pretty surprising that it only bid to 86k with only 29k original miles. A few months ago, that bidding would have ended up a lot higher. Yesterday a '98 S sold on there for 126,000.00, which not too long ago would have reached much higher. I am in the market right now, but it's hard to tell if the prices are going to drop significantly as we slip into recession.

The WB cars are just “special” and limited in production. Doubt much of a price correction on the nice ones. Money always has Money and with so few to go around prices will hold. Remember it’s been like 25 years … some have been crashed, wrecked, crushed, high mileage, neglected, bastardized etc…. Probably 1/2 that remain and a fraction of that are low mile excellent well kept examples.

38,626 NB cars produced World Wide.
C2 Coupe imported US only 6,949
C2 Cab imported US only 8,203
C2 Targa imported US only 1,173
C4 Coupe imported US only 951
C4 Cab imported US only 601

6,948 C4S WB cars produced World Wide.
C4S WB imported US only 2,327

3,714 C2S WB cars produced World Wide.
C2S WB imported US only 1,752

Turbo cars produced World Wide 5,937
Turbo imported US only 1,909

Turbo S cars produced 346 World Wide
Turbo S imported US only 176

So, all that being said, what do you think of a ‘97 C2S, Black/Black, manual, 103k miles, zero records, suspension modifications, clean, but obvious respray? The tech that did the PPI for me says that I need to budget for a reseal sooner than later. The dealer is stuck at $120k, and all the advice I have been getting is to run. On the surface the car touches all my buttons, but after addressing the needs, I might be upside down with a higher mileage car, that has no maintenance records.

It’s a rare car no doubt but ….Hold the line on this one at $90k or walk. I would do that but NOT a penny more! Could be a money pit. Of course there is a sucker born every day in this world but don’t let it be you. These cars are NOT cheap to fix! That car is let’s say …in the watch industry… “NAKED.” Zero records, respray, engine out reseal, f’n PANDORA’s box man! Damn

i think the low-mile NB only hit 86k because low-miles isnt necessarily what NB buyers are looking for. you want low miles in a low production number car where the value is in the collectability not in a car you're going to drive.

..and NBs are for driving.

True, but there are still deals and good cars to be had. I know of black/black 1995 NB C2 with 37k miles that sold last week in Holland (asking price of 76.000 euros). It was advertised on a major platform, but it got snapped up after a few days. You just have to look constantly and be ready with cash. Have gun, will travel.
