+1 Jay's creation is mind-boggling. It's as though he's gone in our 993's belly-button to perform heart surgery!

Question for Jay. I assume when the battery gets replaced in 2 years, everthing needs to be re-initialized by pressing the key fob? (So an immobilizer or fobs issue that occurs silently during the 2 years would become problematic?)

Yes. You have to activate a re-batteried IMMO BLOCK with the FOB. It will then run another 2 years without requiring the FOB. This is actually a security feature: it prevents someone from defeating YOUR drive block by plugging in THEIR IMMO BLOCK.

@Jay777 - so the “dead 9v” failure mode if I’m lazy or don’t get around to replacing it for a while is that the car behaves as if the Immo block was never installed (ex- the missing gong) and double taps are once again required?

Exactly. You'll just revert to OEM mode and cycling your locks.
Your IMMO BLOCK will ship Monday.

Hi Jay, amazing work!

Quick Q. I remember when I installed my TORE LED's, I fiddled with a relay behind the dash (lost the gong) to have the lights blink normal speed. Vague memory.

I am not sure if I removed the relay, replaced the relay, or something else. But my question is does your relay impact this in any way. I'm sure I'm not the only guy with the LED upgrade, so assume no, but want to be sure.

If I missed this question and answer earlier in the thread, sorry!

Matt

I have the LED's, not installed yet. The flasher relay is behind the gong relay. http://www.bergvillfx.com/files/T-LED_993.pdf

Matt-
No. The IMMO BLOCK plugs into the gong relay socket. I believe the one you’re referring to is the flasher relay just forward of it, which is not affected by the install.

That makes sense - we must have removed the gong relay while we in there!

Thanks for clarifying.

Cheers

PM's have gone out to everyone on the original group buy list except those listed below which I will get to today or tomorrow.
If you haven't received a PM yet and you aren't on the list there might have been a mixup on this end so let me know and I'll add you.

All IMMO BLOCKS that have been ordered have either shipped last week or will go out by the end of today. If anyone wants tracking info, PM me and I'll get that to you.
Thanks everyone!

Thanks
