Makes sense- Suspension upgrades, even adding Big Reds would be minor, but valuable adds no matter how you drive the car- this was a NB I believe? Love watching this and as I states MONTHS ago- when I am able to get back to Tuscany, I will look you up! I want to see this awesome build in person!

Last welding of a very important detail for installing the plastic bubbles vacuum reservoir for the Varioram Intake system
Varioram intake system Vacuum reservoir on the Silver 993
Support for the bubbles vacuum reservoir on the Silver 993, m.y.96
Sort of prepared round place where to weld the support in the m.y. 95
Welded in place
Closer look
I don't know if I am guessing right, but there seems to be a rounded shaped surface as provision for welding the support of the Vacuum reservoir: is it possible it is because during the m.y. 95 there was already the M64.20 engine under production (the 993 rs engine), which used the Varioram Intake system as well and so the chassis were already all made the same way?

Did not come to this thread for a long time but glad to see your progress on this very special 993! I still have in mind images of the body when it was taken out of the bottoms of the river. You are so perseverant!

- the original crankshaft, balanced together with her brand new SMF together with the new pressure plate
- the original heads, valves, springs, etc, rebuilt and checked with the vacuum blow test for both in and out valves
- the original rocker arms, with new INA hydraulic stossel barrels, with clean and polished contact surface
- the original camshafts
- the original engine block
- used but with just 15.000 km 3,6 cylinders, hooned and polished and their pistons carefully checked
- 993 brand new rods, the spare part introduced from Porsche, they should be same type of the 993 turbo rods
the rectifying shop checked the valve lift, the position of the lobes, the coupling surfaces and blow tested inlet and exhaust valves, while the exhaust valve guides are new and of a different type, for greater heat resistance.
I can't wait to see the engine parts all on the table ready for reassemble.
Apart from the Varioram intake system, the rest of the engine will be a complete overhaul back to original specs of the M64/05, with 1mm smaller in and out valve diameters compared to the varioram ones.
injectors have been overhauled and are in perfectly working conditions.

@nothingbutgt3 Great project. Quick question - did you get the door check straps reinforced inside the A pillar? If not you may want to do so before going further on paint.

I would like to understand which is the difference between this
Tarett Eng. Monoball Bearing Kit, Front Control Arm, 964/993
and this
Rennline Front Control Arm Bushing Set - Monoball
Is there anyone that has already installed the Tarett Monoball Adj. Rear A-Arms?
With the front and rear, plus engine mounts and camber plates all monoball is the car really so harsh for road use?

MB, you must be right, later I go to the coachbuilder shop and check it.

The Rennline bushing set is a harder rubber without any voids in the rubber like the factory bushings the tarett are a true mono ball. Metal on metal. Here is a picture for you showing the tarett units with one of the bushings removed showing the monoball. If this were the rennline units it would be filled with rubber.
I don't have a 993 but a 964 and I know some who like the monoball feel on the road but I find it a bit harsh.

Agree with Geolab, it is a metal "shouldered nut".
I think the bolt that you are looking for is on the back side of the door strike mount. You can see it in some of your photos

It fits
I don't remember if the two rear quarter panel supports were originally painted in the body color on in Matt black
Right side
Left side
Now that the body is still fully stripped, I wanted to ask you guys what do you think about the following: I am going to install 3 ways adj. MCS (thank you Wyatt for the great patience you had answering all my questions and solving all my doubts), the 4remotes, 2 front and 2 rear must take place somewhere.
I saw that in the front many solved it by attaching them onto the strut bar.
But in the rear, where would be advisable/best to place the other 2 remotes.
On the steering side, I already got the electrical steering pump, but I was also wondering what is requested to do for a power steering assistance removal, I mean, can I still use its original steering rack? What do I have to do in order to modify it without damaging it and without creating a risk for the on board safety?
The car will be very lightweight, so I don't think it will be such a big issue driving it without the power steering assistance.
