You obviously dont know because you somehow cant look up what they wrote in black and white .
This condenses it for you . https://www.instituteforenergyresear...ed%20by%202032.
DISCLAIMER: The following is short, so I will waive my “final post” remark. But thank you for the link. I appreciate that.

I don’t care that “the EU mandates were voted down by the US”. Doesn’t impact me in the least.

I stated my position long before I saw that video and others like it . This is a compliance car . It will be faster but most enthusiasts are less interested on lap times as they are with how a car drives or its ease of maintenance . The 8.7 sec lap time wil become meaningless . It is heavier and larger than any 911 before it. Most purists still dwell on the air cooled so dont count on them to ever accept hybrid . It will be a
mainstream model and I wonder if it replaced the S because thats still unknown .
Porsche has stated that they wanted to keep the combustion engine as long as possible but they are swimming against a legislative tide.

It will NEVER be a classic .
It will be harder to sell as warranty nears end .

The 911 is multi decade automotive icon and to see it go out like this IMO is heartbreaking .

I did the same! placed an initial payment, an October build.

I’m hoping to get one but don’t think there are any allocations as of yet.
I don't know in the US, but we have allocations in Europe.

...seems you just reply randomly to have an opportunity to go on another rant or tangent that has nothing to do with the post you reply too ..but go on with your 8.7sec lap time and larger than any previous 911 - I want some of the stuff you have.

Full of hate, hate for the sake of hate.

Everyone on RL already knows that you are bitter and hate the .2. Starting new threads repeating the same rhetoric about a car that none of us have even driven yet makes you no better than any common forum troll. Go take your energy and fly to Stuttgart to protest in front of Porsche HQ if you are that upset about this car. Or just stay on the 992forum preaching to your followers. Either way, please stop ruining another Porsche forum with your toxicity.

are you still going on about this? we discussed this in past threads already. Most of every car is dictated by “politics”…though I’d consider that the wrong word, policy is more accurate. Why do you think brake lights are red? Why does a car have side mirrors, bumpers, A pillars. A car blueprint is dictated by regulations and manufacturers design around it. Many of the rules are common internationally, some are US specific. Popular cars have to be designed to be internationally compliant. Your dreams of a free Wild West died over 100 years ago, every car you have driven in the last half century has been subject to regulation. Know about MFI engine 911 from 1974?

Um, the Macan wasn't canned in the EU to push the EV version, it was canned because bringing the ICE Macan (and, also I believe, the 718s) up to the current EU cybersecurity standards (PCM, etc) was prohibitively expensive.

@yrralis1 If you don’t like the new car don’t buy it. Is there anything else to say?

The cybersecurity is true but that just beat it to the punch . The plan is ICE to hybrid to EV and in some cases just a direct EV transition . They kept it alive in North America but its at EOL . The Cayenne too is at EOL .
The 911 is the one they wanted to protect the most . This GTS is a compliance car ("hey look regulators . It's a hybrid . Please leave us alone now " ) .
The interesting thing will be GT cars . In racing forums this hybrid is not even discussed. I did withdraw from the GTS but did not take back my deposit . They even offered me the first Base car (delivery Aug 30) . I thanked them and passed for now .

That''s great, but Porsche made the business decision that they have to have the same powertrains globally for the 911. For the higher volume Cayenne, the V8 is available in the US but not in Europe.

A voice of reason . You are right . Dissent is futile .

The fact that they haven't even read the EU ,mandates and reply with a barrage of personal attacks rather than a discussion. has led me to conclude that they truly deserve this car .
Rewind back to 2021 .. I got the same types of r angry replies about ADMS and my refusal to pay one cent . They didnt believe I would get a car . They also deserved to pay the 30-50K ADMs from the last dispute. They will feel it when they get their trade in numbers . They have yet to face that .

The V8 Cayenne is at the end of life and the last of a handful of redesigned pure ICE cars like the Base 992 . . It's a beautiful car . After this series ends they are all done .

Honky here will *not* be stigmatized. No sir. No good puss will ever be had by this gentleman. Won’t stand for it.
And the post after post from OP about EU and the politicians. FFS.
Throw in some ‘Hollywood and the elites’, and you have the full treatment. It’s like they mute cable news for 2 minutes to bring the whole sorry *** ‘woe is me’ bitchfest here.
The point has been made. Start a podcast. I hear Infowars could use your talent.
