Why do we keep turning this thread to EVs?

The 992.2 is an ICE/electric hybrid. Not an EV…

Must be that "straw man" argument heuristic that someone mentioned up above ...

I did my duty in calling out the bull**** from the video. So now what should I talk about? The 992.2 is heavier. That's literally its only sin. People need to get over the other stuff

No argument here that the topic of this thread is about the new hybrid, but my post was about the side topic of ICE vs EV that these things always devolve into. Interesting you chose my post to call out and not the many before it having nothing to do with the new hybrid engine though.

Even under the context of EV vs. ICE i was attempting to make an analogy, not a strawman.

We are all just internet guys that post on an internet forum. We think our opinion is important.

The real data will be available in +/- three years with the new Porsche sales and the trade-in values of used 2024 Porsche 911's (and the later Porsche 718 models--The Cayman and Boxster) will be known.

The current profit margin is huge ($25,000 on each vehicle) so almost $30,000 on each vehicle in 3 years. The cost of ownership with an extra motor (over the current engine) will be much more.
