I said a few weeks back in an adjacent forum you'd be looking at 8-12% price increase over the next 12 months. Roughly got that with these trims, and they'll take on more next year. Q1 5%, Q2-EOY 2025 another 5-10%

Base carerra should hit 140K msrp by end of 2025 early 2026.
$50K over?? On a GTS? What a bunch of jackwagons. The consumer needs to push back on this bs, and hard.

I think enthusiasts can enjoy a nice sound system, and a slightly special feeling interior
Same on my 992.1 S build (but NOT a GTS) but without Aerokit or FAL and with titanium exhaust = 3220 lbs. with about 10 gals on the certified scales at the county trash dump. My fat a$$ was not in the car which saved a lot of weight. Ha ha. But back to my point. Comparable build of 992.2 GTS for MY build not $200k. In fact, would like to get rid of PDK, RAS, and PDCC and save the $ rather than a 3500+ lb. build….but that is me and not a majority of RL members. Agree with you that many on here do not spec a lightweight, low option build in the GTS. Lightweight minimalist spec more likely in a “T” or “S” build.

In the rear the .2 plate location just breaks up the rear bumper and I do like that vertical body crease on the outer bumper.

FIFY.

Good one, shrimp. Enjoy your trip to West Palm Beach.

Personally, I think the front is worse now and the back ever so slightly better. I'd have to see in person though. I feel like the front opening is larger now and has less plastic parts, making it look a bit strange to me. The missing indicator light is a bad choice in my opinion. Not only did it look nice, it also broke the bumper up.

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but why is the 992.2 Base so low in the performance numbers?

As I understood, the 992.1 base and S both used the same 3.0l engine but different turbos and the base is detuned or ECU restricted, and then the 992.1 GTS came out with better turbos.
And now they say the new 992.2 base has the 992.1GTS turbos and the big Turbo's intercooler, why hasn't it surpassed the 992.1 S ? Or gotten close to the 992.1 GTS values?

Are they holding back? Is this going to be a tuner's dream?

My guess is leaving room in the middle for the S.

992.1 base, S, GTS and are tuner dreams. Easy big bump in performance with $2500 to your tuner of choice. I did M-Engineering tune on my 992.1 S and it’s awesome. Flat 6 Motorsports has their 992.1 base in the 600’s. Would guess 992.2 base will be no different, maybe a bit better with the turbo and intercooler bumps.

992.2 T-Hybrid….be interesting to see what the tuner market is able to accomplish here.

i bet the new 992.2 standard 911 powerplant is underrated by a lot —and it will be amazing when the 992.2 Carrera T comes out. With a manual. In a year or so.

To meet emissions. They're retarding the heck out of timing. Imaging running full sprint but your wife is holding you back with a rope around your waist.

From Car and Driver...
"The culprit is Lambda 1—engine designers' shorthand for a perfectly balanced ratio of fuel and air—used at all engine operating points. With no rich mixture available during high boost, combustion temperatures rise to a point where ignition timing must be dramatically retarded to control detonation. The upside is less smog emission at full power."
So, taking the existing twin turbo 3.0 engine and adding the new mandated emissions standards, Porsche needed to add more air (bigger turbos/ higher boost) and colder air (bigger intercoolers) to make the same HP. C&D states that the "upside" is less smog, but they fail to add the engine is being starved of fuel and air. Tuners are already seeing HP numbers above the new 992.2 GTS by simply swapping to GTS turbos and software tweaks to 992.1 base and T models.
