that would be interesting.

I particularly enjoy the statements without any supporting commentary.

They are definitely going to increase the price spread between the Base and the S with this hybrid strategy.

Along with a 992.2 price increase across all models

Which will make getting a Base impossible; everyone will want them for "last ice" anyway, and they don't make many to start with.

Porsche NEVER misses the opportunity to raise prices.

Good point. Will be interesting to see if they make MT available in the Base or continue with PDK only. If they don’t, then I anticipate they will have another “T” with it becoming the “Last ICE with MT” for the enthusiasts and non-hybrid crowd……with a hefty price increase, of course.

That is what my assumption would be, however there are people on here who say they have firsthand knowledge and that the S will have 510bhp, and the GTS 540bhp which would point to a larger hybrid system. I guess we will find out in a few months.

If the base escapes hybridization, it will become the most desired model....

The mild hybrid system in the 992.2 GTS and S will make for interesting time for the 992.2 GT3/RS.

If the .2 GTS and S really come in at 540 and 510, respectively, what does Porsche do with the 992.2 GT3/RS, which are currently rated in the 992.1 generation at 502 and 518, respectively. And I really don't think Porsche can stroke more out of the 4.0L engine and stay NA.

We will soon find out, but I would think that Porsche would want to have a derivative for every major segment.

Base model, with basic spec at lower price point
The S, with more power and tech, hopefully with the basic regenerative hybrid device to increase torque at low RPM
The GTS has to be better than S, so perhaps more powerful hybrid system with more power across the range

The problem is that the S and GTS will become more powerful than GT3. That will be interesting leap-frog transition.

The waiting line for a base and an S was crazy, that's why I bought a GTS... 911 S was over 2 year wait. Base line never moved.

The more I see of this thread leaves me liking my 2023 150K C2 GTS MT more and more. kinda basic... fast as hell. Turbo lag ? who cares.

I don't want a PDK Hybrid or a Taycan, Macan, Panny etc ... Just a fast as hell ICE 911 with a MT... 473 is good enough

What do you need more than the actual bhp?
