By the way, I’ve never driven a base 911 but my GTS is the most thrilling vehicle I’ve ever driven on every level so don’t judge the 911 just based on your experience with that base model.
Your GTS is absolutely going to be more fun to drive especially with over 100 more lb ft of torque which really twists that SOTP meter.

Before I test drove a 992.1 I thought to myself “it’s probably not that bad”… once I got in and started to drive I realized that it IS that bad. Seems like a sh*tty engineering effort.

Couldn’t wait to return the car as it was a total bore to drive as well. Nothing like the 991.2 T I had driven a year prior. Granted, this was a base 992.1 - hopefully the more powerful variants are more engaging to drive.
Try driving a manual S.

”It is what it is.” I’d suggest to “move along” and purchase a different car and leave the limited supply of 911’s to others that really don’t care what the temperature outside is without bending their head 2”.

There is no boring 911 just boring drivers. YMMV.

Yes, based on those videos, I think you will see some more complete 992.2 reveals shortly - they weren't holding much back there. But were those cars hybrids?

Any murmurings out there on ETA?

Put my order in for a 992.2 in June (18month guide for delivery), dealer at the time said I should come into spec etc in Oct time, i.e., when they expected it to be released by...

October 2024? Cause October 2023 probably won't happen for a 992.2 order slot - at least not in America.

Just picked up my 24 4S Cab last week. Dealer said it was their first 24. Cant see the 99.2 until mid/late 24 at best. Mostly likely be a 25.

Indeed, Oct '23, and this Europe. Frankly, most interested to see a release to end the interminable debate around powertrain; made my peace that there is a material wait until delivery at time of order.

Hasn‘t affected me at all… Is it optimal? No. Is it part of a unique design element? Probably yes

Figuring this a month away and the configurator isn't up to date.... I will believe when I see it.

Here in Italy, my Porsche dealer told me yesterday that order are blocked (I was interested on 992.1 Gts 2 or a new 992.2…I have wait too much so the time chose for me)

they only have some slot arriving 2/3 cars and it’s not possibile configure a new one.

this mean as always that 992.2 is coming in few weeks.

i hope GTS will be available not so many months after Carrera and Carrera S but I will close with these if GTS Will be hybrid.

i want less problem on my new 911

Just back from Porsche Festival 2023 at Misano Circuit.
I’ve been told by two different senior dealers that presentation of 992.2 will be in April in Singapore with first cars delivered in July 2024.
Time will tell…
