Playing with different techniques I found TCM in sport, sport response off, chassis is sport got best results. 2.92s 0-60 with rollout is best of another 5 launches. That’s 4 tenths off my best draggy runs stock. Not terrible for a portly RWD Cab!

Pardon if I missed something, but are these lunch controls or just rolling launches?

‘’If you believe Akrapovic, the exhaust does make a difference.

I've been on the tune for just about a month now on a base Carrera. This is the first car I ever tuned. I don't plan to take it to the track, I don't need to know my 0-60 speed, and I don't care to hook it up to a dyno to see if I 'got my money's worth'. What I care about is how the car feels when I drive it and I can say unequivocally that it's much more responsive and quicker than stock. How do I know? You'd have to be an abject moron not to feel the difference, for those that mentioned the term 'vaporware'. As others have said, unless you push down hard on the pedal you will not feel like you've done too much to the engine. When you want the power it's there and when driving in a spirited way you certainly notice it. I used to drive with Sport mode on all the time to get that extra power I was missing with the base, now I don't. When I'm in Sport mode now, for me, it's almost a little much. If you spent $130k+++ on your ride, you can afford the extra $2500 and try it out. The software is also insanely simple to use - you plug in a dongle and literally within 2-3 clicks it's done, both install and uninstall.

And the service has been great. I flashed a few faults in the first few weeks and emailed the M-Engineering team and they got back to me within a few hours, even on weekends. I admit that I was nervous to do it since this is my first tune ever and maybe I thought my engine would explode, but I'm really happy I pulled the trigger. I really loved driving it before, and it's made my driving experience better.

I really haven’t been tracking it because I don’t do a lot of highway driving so I’m sure my mpg is much lower than most others. I’ll track it on the next fill which should be this weekend and let you know but I’m probably a bad case study on fuel efficiency.

With my tune, I’m still getting over 26mpg on the highway. I average around 19 combined and 15-17 around town depending on how I drive it.

Is it just me or do you hear the blow off valves a lot more now?

Possibly because more boost psi is being pushed in the engine there is more pressure to release on throttle lift? I dunno it could be placebo effect but I like it!

That would make sense, though I believe the 992 uses a bypass valve vs blow off valve which shouldn’t produce much noise. Either way, one more reason for me to want this tune.

Y'all are definitely going to be hearing more, it's a fun set of noises with higher boost pressures
It's even double more fun if you're running Stage 2 with link pipes, you'll hear a lot more turbo whistle in a really good way and a good pickup in power. @Soul Performance has some nice sounding pipes that we are running on a number of cars

M-Engineering is having our Black Friday sale right now as well, use "THANKS10" at checkout for 10% off M-Tuner!

Anyone know if the manual transmission can handle a stage 2?
