Ya, I think it depends on who you are. My GTS is a DD and I have no hesitation driving long distances with CLs (Northeast US to South Florida). But honestly, whether I have 5 lugs or CLs, if I get a flat, I'm calling roadside assistance to come get me with a flatbed. But that's just how I swing. YMMV.

Is anyone else seeing that the configurator show's the "GTS Interior" package requiring matte carbon inlays with an up-charge of ~$3900 for the carbon vs. $840 if you want the matte carbon inlays WITHOUT the GTS package? Seems strange or I'm missing something?

Yes, it makes the GTS interior package super pricey. And prevents the addition of ventilated seats due to the racetex. Big fail.

Yup, I agree on the ventilated seats part, but WTF on why the carbon package is $3900 if you get the GTS package and $840 if you don't and get one of the leather packages instead doesn't make sense? Maybe if the GTS package carbon add-on included inlays, steering wheel inserts AND the seat backs? Maybe it's a conifgurator error?

Perhaps it is just me and others might get offended. To me, the GTS is Porsche's creation using the 911 marque and hang all kinds of ornaments/options on the car to appeal to those that want a luxury sports car. It is bloated, expensive and the resale value is nowhere close to the GT3/GT4 models.

I'm not sure why some people are so convinced that dealers are demanding ADM on GTS. Mine didn't, and others in a separate thread reported no ADM as well.

Wonder if it makes a difference as a first time Porsche buyer vs having a history of buying from a dealer?

Can’t hurt, but I think even first time buyers should be able to get a GTS without an ADM.

I switched from a C4S to a 4GTS with no ADM. The price differential on my configs between the two cars was about $6K so it seemed like a no-brainer.

Good exercise. I hadn't done this yet; my GTS cab build is coming out to 177 or so. Feels a little nuts, then I re-checked what the S cab build came to, and it's 170. So yea, it's absolutely a no brainer. I believe in 2017, my GTS build was slightly cheaper than the loaded S, so things have definitely changed. I suspect it's because of inflated materials pricing, which they can't recover from existing models with established pricing.

(yes, i'm an options *****)

EDIT: yes, I realize i'm in spitting distance of a gt3 touring. would love to own one. i'll settle for a 992 speedster eventually, i think.

I’m wondering the same thing.... doesn’t really make sense, why the insane price hike for the carbon?

One dealer close to me is asking for ADM. He said they would ask "market price" and while they're not sure what that'll be, he says used 991.2 GTS are going for above MSRP so there will be an ADM. He also said most builds they're asking for a trade in and since I don't have that then it's likely I won't get an allocation unless I agree to pay ADM.

That's one dealer though. I am talking with two other dealers. The other two are very wishy washy on whether it's realistic I will get an allocation.

And to the person saying resale on GT3 is better, well no ****. If I could have gotten a GT3 I wouldn't even be considering a GTS yet here I am.

Anyone know if it's possible to spec a GTS with the standard platinum - vs the GTS satin black - version of the RS spyder design wheels, or if configurator options act as strict constraints on such options?

Hey all, maybe I missed this, but is the lightweight package available in the US? I keep reading about it but don't see it on the configurator.
