I have a C2S allocation for a July build. It's a 2022 model. I've heard a lot of people say the next year model starts in August, but my order seems to say Porsche starts the next model year before the factory shutdown in August.
Could be a 2022; I believe you...change over normally happens in Aug when factory closes but Porsche could have pushed it forward or maybe is running two concurrent lines. I don't think there is much difference between MY21 and MY22 992s so far announced.

Glad to hear intel and info helped...many go into this blindly and in the current situation with supply and demand it just hurts the brand when folks can't get cars or have bad encounters with dealers who don't tell inform them in full on their allocation status and the exact cost of the car expected delivery dates or are not transparent about the whole process. So great that you were able to use the info to get your allocation and a better idea of when to expect your car.
My order was V200 and this morning we made a change - deleted exclusive taillights an changed Burmester to Bose. When my SA sent me the new configuration right after making the change it says V150. Is this normal?
I think it depends on the dealer. Allocations are super low right now due to chip issue but you can find one if you call around. If you want for regular C2, C2S or C4S, I think it's doable. If you are looking at other trims, will be much tougher or impossible with the waitlists. I was told by several dealers including ones I have bought from before that there weren't new allocations coming till end of the year but they often times have cancellations and / or new ones provided. I ended up getting lucky and just put my deposit down for a end of July allocation on MY 2022 C2S for late September delivery. Freeze point is late June. They still have to formalize and submit build to Porsche but fingers crossed as SA says it's looking good. Hardest thing now is locking in the color. I have all the specs selected except the color (GT Silver vs. Jet Black)...real world problems right? Good luck with the allocation. I'm sure you can find something if you check around.

Totally normal. v150 is a placeholder code - basically PCNA/PAG has to process the configuration for it to go v200. Immediately after a configuration change, it's common for the thing to go v150. It may take minutes to hours for it to change, but it is typically v200 by the next day. I suspect your build is at v200 if they were to recheck.
v100 is the bad one - it means the configuration failed feasibility checks and something is on backorder or being phased out (or waiting on PAG to approve CXX or PTS).

Ah, ok. I also never got an email from Porsche with a My Connect link. My salesperson told me it's probably because the car hasn't gone into production yet (it's a September build) but members here have said they got access to their order within days of placing it.

They've gotten more efficient with this since first rolling it out with the 911. It's now also available for the Taycan. I had a Taycan 4S order in without an allocation for a few weeks. Got the allocation a few days ago and my sales manager immediately placed the order (V200). I had the email from Porsche the next day.

Hmmm, should I call Porsche NA? The original order for my Targa 4S was placed a couple of weeks ago and I got a build sheet.
I had to call to get my TYD email. Apparently the dealer hadn't input the correct email address fwiw
I have heard of that happening several times. Amazing... So, either call dealership and speak with the sales manager (obviously the SA is not up to speed) or call Porsche customer service with your commission number available. This all assumes that you already have an account and email on file through myPorsche.com.

I called Porsche NA and they told me they had my correct email, but I wouldn’t get an update until the VIN was assigned. I still have no email from Porsche - September build, November delivery.

It's remarkable how many in their call center really don't know what's going on. The VIN has absolutely nothing to do with activating your TYD. What they told you is complete BS. TYD is available once your order is in with an allocation (V200). If you want access to TYD at this point I would suggest that you speak with your sales manager and have him/her enlist the support of their area representative if necessary. I had to do that with one of my 991.2 orders, but with my 992 and a recent Taycan order everything went smoothly as soon as my allocation was made available. With the one I had an issue with the area rep got involved and had it resolved the same day.
I'm new to this forum and I'm a first time 911 buyer. Put a deposit down May 8th at a premier dealership in Toronto. Hoping to hear something soon. Some great advice here. Will definitely use it throughout this process

Thanks for explaining, I just changed the specs on my car as well (upgraded to classic rims with colored wheel caps and sport plus seats)
