I was able to secure an allocation a few weeks ago. March 22 freeze date, April 23 build date, June 11 scheduled dealer delivery. I contacted 4 dealers within 200 miles. Only 1 had an allocation and my local dealer was able to trade for one and gave me a discount. Was told by a third dealer that they would expect new allocations end of March with deliveries expected end of the year, maybe even early next year. I assume these are 2022 models. After reading some posts about some dealers having waiting lists just to get an allocation, I feel fortunate to have secured one and be able to enjoy the car this summer.

2022 Allocations are being released this month. My dealer will be receiving theirs at the end of the month. This would be for July and August delivery.

Your dealer may not be able to offer you a car until Nov/Dec, but they absolutely will be getting 2022 allocations well before that. If and how many are 911s, is a different story.

If the dealer is telling you that the allocation is not available til Nov/Dec -- then that's roughly a Jan/Feb 2022 delivery. I suspect they have a wait list and that's the spot they have for you.

I called my SA this morning for clarification.
He's telling me that he will not get any 2022 allocations until late this year ( he wasn't even certain it would be by December, possibly next year) . He told me I am 3rd on the wait list.
This is a very large dealership with many allocations in the past.
So it appears the 2022 C2S will not be delivered until sometime next year.

That sounds about right. There will be some '22 allocations this fall and winter. Lock dates for those cars should be well before that. I think we are talking past each other -- what you are calling a November/December allocation, I am calling a delivery. The vast majority of '22 deliveries should be next year.

If I was 3rd on the list, then I wouldn't expect a car until next year. If they are telling you they can get you a car this year at #3 on the list, then that's pretty good. We aren't talking about many cars here. My dealer is probably only getting one Turbo S and a few Carreras.

Every dealer is different, so I don't want to paint with broad strokes. There seems to be some politics involved and it's not always just who is the biggest dealer.

I called my dealer enquiring for a TT in Feb which I was told wouldn’t be available for at least a year. They called back later offering a C4S an allocation. Paid 10% deposit. Build locks in early April for June delivery. My build is rather extravagantly equipped at $165K, so perhaps that helped me jump the line or perhaps I just got lucky. Will be my first 911. Very excited.

It's interesting that Porsche will be making both 2021 and 2022s in the same allocation month (June).

My TYD shows starting production May 28, finishing production June 11, and the website says it is a 2021 Turbo S Cab. Delivery in late July.

I got a call from my dealer on Thursday saying that they were notified that they will be getting allocations and I was 1st on the list for a c2s. The allocations weren't in the system yet either so he couldn't give me any definitive answers but he said it would be for a '22 and thought it would probably a June/July build date. I just hope the new model year cars don't get held up in the ports for months this time.

I’m a bit surprised folks are hearing about 2022s being delivered in early Q3. I have a 2021 C2S allocation about to lock, and the delivery date has already slipped from June 10 to July 4.

I heard they drop March 30th to the dealer. Every dealer could be different though.

This has been the quirkiest allocations process I've done so far. I'll say that much. A wrinkle in it is the way they've changed PTS. Supposedly no more delays after the fact, but you have to lock super early in order to get it. Which means that you need to get the allocation pretty much right when it drops and hope for no delays in the dealer getting it, or you miss the deadline. In my case, the '22 July car was not configurable yet and the PTS lock is March 15th, so they're sliding it to an August slot in order to fit within the PTS deadline for that month (April 19th).

Yea I agree. Lots of things are lining up against seeing tons of cars show up all of a sudden for MY21 allocation wise soon and deliveries this summer. I think most dealers have what they have for MY21 cars and guys posting recently found build slots for June/July cars makes sense in that framework and these are likely the last of the MY21 cars unless Porsche extends them or something.

As for MY22 will likely release those soon for builds starting in July but cars may be delayed for reasons you mention, Thus if you want a car likely believe chances are much higher now for a MY22 with a late Q3/Q4 delivery in small numbers and larger numbers in Q1 2022. That probably is what will give you the biggest and best opportunity this late into 2021 to get a car done as would seem most dealers still have more buyer than inventory and/or allocations!
