I have a small deposit to be on the waiting list for a 2022 C2S allocation.
My SA just called me and said that the 2022 allocations will not be available until November / December 2021.
Has anyone else heard this? Thanks.

I'm guessing that you don't want the 2021? They have not moved onto 2022 yet.

Check with other dealers. I'm in Canada so it might be different but its unlikely. I went looking late December and one dealer told me I would have to wait until next winter. Went to another dealer who told me "no problem" and got me in for April build. I'm sure there are allocations available for later this year. Another dealer I spoke with later offered me an even earlier allocation but April works great for me so I stuck with that.

2022 Allocations are being released this month. My dealer will be receiving theirs at the end of the month. This would be for July and August delivery.
Your dealer may not be able to offer you a car until Nov/Dec, but they absolutely will be getting 2022 allocations well before that. If and how many are 911s, is a different story.
If the dealer is telling you that the allocation is not available til Nov/Dec -- then that's roughly a Jan/Feb 2022 delivery. I suspect they have a wait list and that's the spot they have for you.

It is entirely possible that the model year shift has been delayed due to Covid19 and supply chain shortages. So maybe the first 2022s may NOT be delivered until early 2022.

For the most part, 2021 allocations are pretty much done.

I was just informed by a dealer of 2021 June allocations for August delivery. So one of us has been misinformed. Also, Germany always has a shutdown in August, and that is when they tool-up for the next model year, which would make more sense. Then again, Covid changes everything!

There is a global semiconductor chip shortage and shortage of rare earth metals so technology is suffering, supply chains are suffering, are vehicles are suffering. I wouldn’t be surprised if Porsche delays MY 22 a few months VS last year. 2021 production started in June ‘20 and I secured my allocation then for September ( 09/11) production.

FWIW my local dealer is still on allocations for MY 2021 and has 2021 911's that are being built in July and Aug for Sept/Oct delivery. He is the sales manager and has been there quite a while.

It’s an awkward period between model years in a crazy COVID timeline.
I can say that I’m to get a MY22 at the end of the month. It is an August delivery with an April PTS lock date. Yes I’m aware of the August shut down. I presume the actual build is in July.
There are MY21s to be distributed I have no doubt.
This is very solid info coming from Porsche, but I never believe anything until I see a build sheet, commission number and v200 with my name on it. We’ll see what’s up at the end of the month. Hopefully no surprises but you never know with these things.

Would Porsche produce '21s alongside '22s on the same line? No idea.
For me -- it's all speculation until I get my build sheet. If my information is correct, I'll have an August delivery MY22.

I think May allocation lock dates are coming up next week. So there are June builds which would still be '21s. For the Turbo S at least, July and August deliveries are apparently '22s. I assume the same is true for Carreras, but I don't know that for sure.
