What made you go for the Porsche Dashcam? I hadn’t considered it up until now, but it looks interesting..

Apologies, my dash cam post above was referring to this build

Going bold and keeping with 911T Launch colors: Python with Aero, Python interior package. Adding leather on steering column for the added green stitching. LWB to be added when available.

And this added aftermarket in Agate, maybe PORSCHE billboard lettering on wing in Agate too. We'll see.

This stripe in Agate Gray.

This is something I'm also highly considering. I've installed front+rear dashcams in all my cars (including completely pulling apart the dash in my Macan to neatly hide a high-capacity dashcam battery). I've done this all myself (996, 987, Macan, etc) as well as for a friend's BMW m235i. I enjoy it, but an option to have the wiring laid in the factory while the car is being built? Sign me up! That's assuming the Porsche dashcam is decent. Worst case, could pull the connectors apart and more cleanly attach a third party dashcam.

There's a bit of a big if here because it is such a new option, but I've been following this thread to stay abreast of the learnings: https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1307...-and-rear.html

It's dash cam pre-wiring. Even if I don't run a dash cam, I'll use the wiring for my radar detector.

It's accurate. SA was able to see every single allocation nationally. More will come.

Carrera T at the LA Auto Show doesn't have buckets. They may not come...

I mentioned in an earlier post, but will say again... The PR representative at LA auto show confirmed for the Car Reviewers on Thursday that LWBS are going to be an option and they will be uploaded to the config eventually... I imagine that the first 9 allocations were sprinkled out there to make sure there was some availability when launching the car, but they did it sooner than they were prepared for on their end. Come December/January the config will get updated and the first real distribution of a significant amount of allocations will take place. Its hard to be patient, but they are coming

I didn’t realise larger tank was an option… back to the configurator 🤓

My SA also suggested it. Saves many hours of running cables if you decide you want to put a dashcam later.

Sounds like a great idea. I’ll add it to my build. What would I do without all the bright Porsche people on this thread!

getting back to this. Can anyone confirm if the 992 tank is the same outside size just with or without baffles?
