992 Carrera T Club
This is the fourth car I’ve ordered from the factory - never had one delivered with less than 8 miles

interesting to see what others respond, but likely more than that for most. Well, I was my dealership’s first T and my SA was #2 awaiting his T. Ha, I wonder if my SA took my T for a drive?!

Unfortunately, I do think it was possible, I just hope they were carful and went through the proper procedures if they took it for a test drive

I see, that is good to know, then maybe it is all in the travel to and from, and driving off the transport truck and maybe testing on the dyno/sound acoustics both in Germany and other things

Given the large delays we’re seeing for cars departing Emden and arriving in the US, the higher mileage doesn’t surprise me because it’s likely cars are getting shuffled around holding lots before the next shipment stage.
But I wouldn’t be concerned about a loader going joyriding in and expensive car - until departing the arrival port most manufacturers have the car locked in a speed and rev limited “transport mode” that isn’t unlocked until final inspection at the arrival port when the PCM or equivalent software is actually loaded in the car.

My SA said he had a customer take delivery of a GT3 at PEC ATL and the car had 100 miles on the odometer at delivery. The customer was pissed, and I’m not sure they got an explanation as to why - if they did, my SA wouldn’t share it.

I think a lot depends on the manufacturer and the ports as well as some other logistics issues. My other ordered cars were MINIs - two went from Oxford to Southampton. Plant Oxford is fairly compact, and neither car sat long at the port to get shuffled around much.

YET ANOTHER REVIEW THAT RATES THE T AS THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED 911'S
https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/porsche/911/359248/new-porsche-911-carrera-t-2023-review
Verdict
The T is a simple idea, executed brilliantly.
It takes the formula of the standard car, sprinkles on some choice upgrades but maintains the 911’s accessible performance.
Compared to its 911 siblings, the T even looks relatively good value.
Aside from the slightly lumbering gear ratios the T stands out in the 911 range as a real driver’s choice.

Yea, highly annoying, but not worth a fight. The distribution channel is so long, they can make-up 10 excuses, and we will never get to the bottom of it.
