I just wanted to let you know you are a good guy and have a nice sense of humor and are keeping this thread very much alive. So keep on doing what you do. But you seem to be a bit angry? Just to make it clear. Some people here started speaking a lot about the audio system. So some others were annoyed. It doesn’t matter if it was right or not, but there is no sense in irritating people. So I said I will start a thread on this forum for future owners. It’s of course easier to have all the audio info in 1 thread for future reference. You then said you did not want to participate in any other thread but this one. I then told you I would be more than happy to copy/paste your messages here. That’s it. Nothing more to it than that.
So, I checked out the link u provided. Appears u have been sharing things I’ve been posting here. I’m not a bit upset, but I was getting annoyed and disappointed by people’s comments here that I was being a jerk for not sharing or as outlandish as it seems that I was soliciting a payment for sharing my knowledge. That thread proves I’ve shared everything from the beginning. Was just having fun with GIFs responding to someone I’ve been chatting here for awhile and didn’t expect an outside person to make quick judgmental and negative comments about me without knowing all the facts. That person asking for help here was PMing me also separately, whom I provided the solutions. To answer your PM if I’m seriously thinking about quitting RList. Would u consider it if in my shoes? I’ve mentioned countless times that I have many car industry acquaintances. Not here to gain knowledge about cars. Although I admit that I’ve unexpectedly met folks like @Uhu that’s extremely knowledgeable about Porshas and consider meeting folks like him a bonus. I truly meant when I said I’d love to have a beer or 5 (ha) with him next time I’m in Munchen. I’m mainly here to chat with fellow T-mates, have fun exchanging GIFs or whatever it may be, and hopefully gain a few in-person T / car crazy friends. That’s it, period.
Also noticed u have an RList sponsor (Musicar) audio specialist on that thread answering questions from the beginning. If it was me, I would rely on them than someone like me (amateur). Not sure why more detailed questions aren’t being asked to him. He’s right that the T system is different/not simple and not a DIY project. I’ve previously mentioned that I have a really cool audio guy that’s dedicated 15+ hours to get things right for me.
Lastly, I don’t think folks were annoyed about people talking about audio and solutions here. No one said anything negative to me discussing audio here. It was more about people not doing anything about the stock system and continuously complaining how bad it was which to a certain level was fair at the time….
I apparently have one of the three allocations at Byers. My python green is stuck in Emden and by the time it is now scheduled to leave it will have been there for 7 weeks. Anyone have this experience with wait time in Emden? Also, I stopped by Midwestern Auto Group and they just took delivery of their first and only allocation in Python Green. I was second on the list there and would still be waiting there for an allocation if Byers had not called me with my allocation in March. Based on the posts here I thought that the Python Green was ordered more than it was (based on original poll we had here) and it seams as though it is was checked off the least besides Ruby based on the posts I see here.
I just saw your car yesterday when I stopped in to see what inventory they had. I came in the day after you got your name on the list and was second in line. Apparently, yours is the only allocation they have gotten all year so far. I also ordered Python Green and it was even more amazing in person than in any photos I have seen. Really great spec and couldn't be more happy for you. Apparently, you are moving soon so I am bummed that you won't be around for us to be twinsies driving around in Columbus! Would love to meet up before you leave and see and hear your car once you take delivery. I live in Upper Arlington. PM if you would like to get together before you leave. Congrats again!

I have one of the allocations from Byers also. Been stuck in Emden for 2 months.
Hah. Mine is a 50th b-day present from last September...I'm ok with delayed gratification if it is a Porsche. PPF jail should finish tomorrow and delivery day is Friday!
Mine too. Ordered shortly after my 50th.

Seriously! I thought I was early at 28, and mine was used. Congrats @Vernin! Good for you.

Totally. To me it's my milestone year that coincides with Porsches anniversary and 911's anniversary. Makes it special.

Finally arrived at the dealership this afternoon. Picking up on Thursday.
Yellow painted interior looks way better then I thought it would.
Looks awesome! My Racing Yellow T supposedly started production yesterday. Seeing how good yours looks makes me super excited, but also now regretting not optioning the painted interior bits. They look great.
@Wilder I thank you for your kind words, my job and circumstances allow for it too be possible,
I really had planned on getting one when I was 30-35, but time waits for no one. My dad is 65 and loves tracking his cars but as time goes on, it gets harder for him to do so, So my main goal was to get something that I could drive with him on the track, low enough hp for me but enough to have fun for years to come, and hopefully I can keep up with him one day in his 04 GT3
OK OK OK so I’m the oldest on this forum by quite a margin at 69 😱
However some key points to note…
1) My coach at the Porsche Exp Centre was older than me and complimented me on one of the fastest laps he’d ever driven with a guest.
2) The oldest guy ever to drive in the Le Mans 24hr was 5 years older than me..
Unfortunately not. About to call Cambridge and see if possible.
My invite came from Guildford but there are limited places and probably restricted to regular customers??
Not certain about that - might be worth you trying Cambridge?

That is amazing to both of you, honestly, such a goal to work towards is still driving smooth and fast as you get into your later years
