I had been spending the last few days being amazed how well you were coping with having the car and then turning it back in only to wait a few more weeks before you well and truly get it home...

As cool as I think ED is, I don't think I could handle the wait to get the car back after driving it in Europe for a few days... It's been hard enough knowing that I delayed delivery of my T likely by about a month and a half to do PEC delivery - the consolation for me has been that I get much of the ED experience, but at the end of the day I'm taking the car home with me and don't have to wait on a ship again...

Stay strong... you can do it!!!

The aero kit just really accents the car beautifully, (I still think they have similar body lines to the 996 gt3 which I grew up admiring, so seeing basically a facelift to that style is amazing) seriously put a 996 gt3 side picture next to a 992 with aero kit, its very similar and I wish I got the kit on my T

Thanks! I wish that pole was not in the pic, but hey, I'm no photographer by any means. But I do like how this pic includes all the distinguishing elements: top stripe, door stripe, T agate mirror & rims, and of course, WING BABY!

I too had a 996 winged machine. Taco spoiler and fried egg headlights which I grew to love!

Your 996 is beautiful, I honestly really like this series of 911's and I will always have a soft spot for them. I love the after-market wheels and the brown leather interior. That is why some people from the 996 gt3 group might have seen me trying to buy a 996 gt3 in December of last year, it didn't work out unfortunately but I got an allocation for a T and I think I will love it just as much because it really brings back memories of all the best of the 911 series over the years. I have said it again it's a historic car and the Ruby paint I got is historic as well and will be a joy to own.

Thanks. But those are Porsche BBS Dealer Installed wheels. And the interior is Boxster Red. I hated the interior when I first saw pictures, but later grew to love it. The guy who spec'd that car spent $40k on options at a time when the base price was about $60k! And the biggest complaints about the 996 interiors was how cheap and plastic they were - so this guy ordered the car with everything covered in either leather or carbon fiber. It was a cool car.

@tourenwagen It's a beautiful car as always! I like the pained side skirts, the stripe, also the matching seat belts too, did your car come with the front grills or did you have to add them later?

My apologies, I could not tell it was red from the previous picture, but you got one heck of a deal, then, the full leather also looks beautiful, and I think the red works wonderful with the carbon fibre

It's a negative side effect for sure... Well worth the pain, but certainly "agony"...

Question: what is a good T-like daily? I have and love my T but I need to replace my daily driver and I don’t want to use the T so often quite yet. What do you think is a comparable daily driver? The closest I can think of are the Honda Civic Type R and Acura Integra Type S twins.
