Quick question to those wo got PPF on their cars: what did you do about the rear "911 Carrera T" or the "911" badge from the rear of the car?
Left (as from the factory) glued to the metal and PPF-ed around it or it was removed, PPF applied as "a whole sheet" and the badge was glued later on top of the PPF?
I am getting mine out of the PPF jail tomorrow. And there will be some Autobahn driving to do...hope I can stick under 4000 rpm and 80 mph. I have no desire to get home with a car just out of a long PPF/valeting session, but full of bugs
And of course, will take some pictures. Hopefully, just before returning, so the car is perfectly clean and shiny.
Mine PPF’d around the badge. Did a great job and you have to look hard to see it.
As someone else stated, it’s probs more work to go round the badge than to remove it.
The likelihood of the actual badges getting scratched is low 🙏
It is entertainment. Entertainers can do lots of things that we can't in our jobs. Lots of things in this world that I don't like but that doesn't mean it can't exist. Just stop watching if you don't like it. Then move on.
You are absolutely right about how entertainers can get away with a lot of things that we can’t! I just don’t know if “just moving on” is the right course of action when individuals such as the one in question are involved. Marginalizing people shouldn’t appear in car reviews and I wanted to take a moment to call this person out on it. I love how we can all have different thoughts and opinions on so many things but are still unified in our passion for the amazing creations from Stuttgart! I hope you and everyone else here has a fab weekend! 🌟
The other day my A/C stopped working (on my Boxster), I got to OPC and it turned out that I had stone damage to my condenser. They promptly replaced both condensers at a cool price of £2000!
The 911 can only be more expensive, so your accessory makes so much sense! Thanks for sharing.
OK my friends, or as my wife started referring to all of my fellow T owners: my "T-mates," (lol) today, I picked up my 911T from PPF jail. It took over a week just to get the color of the motorsport stripe right. So getting the car today really was exciting because I knew it was for real this time! Plus, I just LOVE the motorsport stripe and now I finally got it on my very own, brand new 911.
I drove it twice since taking delivery for a total of 213 boring miles. Long Island roads suck. I have a few mini road trips planned, including this Sunday when I take it to Caffeine & Carburetors in New Canaan (for those in the area, this is a great show).
I posted several pics in the T photos thread here, but here's a few here:
I really like your GT stripe!
I am getting a double one for good measure

When I first started looking, I narrowed my search down to a 991T and a GT4.
I have something interesting for you. Yesterday drove all day in the GT4 RS. I will not review that insane car here. But I would like to share with you and others that I was afraid after steering in that car the T would be boring as hell. It is not. Most fascinating is that the initial steer response on the GT4 RS is pretty much the same as the T. I am not talking about behaving of the car or grip levels. Just simple when you drive in a straight line and you turn the wheel quickly from left to right to free the steering response. I would say it says something good about the T.

I really need my 7th gear to get a 1100km range on screen with my T. That will be my next project.

Unfortunately I don’t understand your question exactly from which point you want it. But I measured the lowest point. Here is the picture. Just let me know if you want it differently.

I just don’t know. So far, I think you’ve had scratched wheels, scratched PPF on hood, scratched third brake light piece. U may want to wrap every little piece of ur T?!

😄 The scratched alloy occurred in transit from Germany (still waiting for a replacement!!!)
The 3rd brake light was indeed sadly me personally and I cry myself to sleep every night thinking about it!
The roof must have been someone else??

BTW, I should be getting my sub-box added soon. My plan is to add that first. Hopefully, it’s enough. But if not, maybe upgrade some speakers. I really don’t want to spend more than a 1k usd. Will let u know how it goes…
