I had the chance on Friday to drive a 992 with and without RWS and the dealer had a nice fast curvy road for me to drive at a spirited pace and it was a perfect environment to compare the option. In short, I have decided to add RWS to the build. The effort and input required to make the turns were noticeably less in the car with RWS, and like mentioned earlier it made the car feel much like my 718 Cayman S when being pushed. October can't come soon enough!
Good choice, I have RWS, definitely makes the car more nimble and feels smaller.

Interesting conversation about manual transmissions on the new Carmudgeon Show, particularly about Porsche's 7 speed manual. All manuals, in fact, but they discuss Porsche's take on the lockout gate. It's been discussed here before so I thought folks would like to hear their take on it.

More talking heads that get paid to talk about cars whilst knowing very little of the cars they talk about.

Jason Camisa is very big in the auto journalist world. His videos are huge. He now works for Hagerty. Derek is behind the scenes more. Yes, he said that wrong about 5th. I think that was just a misstatement. Other than that, they are extremely knowledgeable. Check out Jason's credentials - I assure you, he knows more than the average bear (lived in Germany, has multiple degrees, and has worked for all the big publishers/testers).

Exactly. Cammisa does some amazing work and has driven just about every model of Porsche. Likely misspeaking/misremembering, but still one of my favorite modern 911 reviews (991.2) that I _still_ watch from time to time because he seems to get it.

I don’t think he’s really driven a Porsha MT. It wasn’t just a misstatement. He was making the motions backwards also.

Nice vid. I tend to agree with his comments. And Randy? He's the king! His description of how the turbos feel on track at about 10 minutes into the vid is nice and simple. I wish I would have seen this vid when I was shopping for the T, but thanks for sharing it now.

My only issue now? Will I ever enjoy driving a rear engine car as much as a mid-engine? I'm not sure, but so far, it's growing on me. Much more so than my 996. But my Cayman didn't require any getting used to. It was love at first drive. Whereas the 911 is like a quirky friend that is getting more attractive to me the more I get to know her.
