Perhaps Porsche should charge for an option to delete 7th...I'd toss a couple grand at that option
Well I sure wouldn’t. The 7MT has developed into a fantastic manual gearbox. Seventh gear is just there for highway cruising. Otherwise, just forget about it. You guys who are new to the brand should have been there when the 991 came out, you would better appreciate what Porsche has done with this gearbox.
I did a few mods today. Only one left is to hard wire the radar detector. I couldn't figure out how to release the right side of the overhead light console. Anyone do this yet? And also have anyone tapped for power? It's different than the 991/718 design.

First “mod” since taking delivery yesterday. Black leather. Many more real mods to come! @toph4242 I think it was you like 7000 posts ago considering this to avoid fingerprints, so I’m not taking credit for this idea!
Awesome! Thanks for posting... Yes, that was probably a month or so ago at this point, but I found the leather replacement on Suncoast and I will likely make the same swap on mine! I hate the Piano black and might either replace all of it or go with a matte/stealth PPF film for mine once I get it home.
BTW, I should be getting my sub-box added soon. My plan is to add that first. Hopefully, it’s enough.

I just put some of these in the car and have no issues. Just 5 second cleaning. I do like the GT3 brushed inlays though, like the current ones in the door sills.
I’m waiting for the production version of this, prototype recently redesigned for air flow, available mid-June. Tracking anxiously. I also missed the Aerokit window of availability by about 1-2 weeks 😞.
Are you kidding me! I am so all over this. Is this your company or are you testing this for them? I would love to get on a list so that when they are ready I can order. This made my day.
