992 Carrera T Club
@ECNJ
You’ve summed up perfectly where I’m at as well. Gonna take some time to find the right system and will want a demo if poss before buying.
I reckon I would have been happy with the Bose, had it on my Taycan and it was good enough.
Spending more than 1500 isn’t necessary IMO

The whole car has increased in price like 9k EUR over here. I waited for the BOSE to come back in order to avoid ordering it with the pricey Burmester, but now the car with BOSE is more expensive than my initial configuration with the Burmester...

The new Transformers movie tix go on sale today at my local theater. Going so I can see the 911 (964) Carrera RS on the big screen. Ha, I’m turning into a Porsha freak…and it feels so right. Can’t wait to start attending some PCA events.

Quick question for the guys who applied PPF to their cars. Do the decals need to come off when applying it or is it applied over the decals?

When the 7spd was introduced in 2012, Porsche based that gearbox off of their PDK at the time and The 6spd was built from the ground up... Now in the 992 generation, I believe that the 6spd and 7spd are essentially the "same" transmission, but you are correct that the 6spd has different linkages and a more traditional pattern that make a smoother slightly more enjoyable feel. The nature of the 7th gear changes the pattern and therefor the linkages changed. I have driven both, and I think the 6-speed feels more "traditional" but at the end of the day we are getting to row our own gears in a brand new 911... I'm not going to complain! 22 days and counting for me!!

Tracking it was a big motivator for ordering. I have a couple tracks within 1-1.5 hours from me. I'll likely only do two or three events a year because it gets expensive fast and it doesn't need to be on a track to be enjoyed.

I bought this car/setup specifically because I wanted to get back on track in a Manual vs. the PDK 992 I had before. I will likely get about 8-10 track days in each season, but hope to do more if time allows. The T is not my daily, but in the summer I will use it 50% of the time and put it away in winter. I'm guessing street vs. track though is 75% street and 25% track. Reason for going with this setup vs something else was 50/50 though on street/track plans
