If you look really closely in the newsroom video you can see crests:

If they have (or can get) the crests on the headrests, I'll remove it from the center armrest. Having too many logos will make it look like a Corvette. lol.

Full bucket seats

Lightweight full bucket seats made of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) with carbon-weave finish (high-gloss) with integrated thorax airbag, electric height adjustment and manual fore/aft adjustment for the driver and passenger sides. Leather seat cover in Black with seat centre in perforated Race-Tex material in Black, headrests with embossed Porsche Crest

That's what the configurator says about them

I am surprised they have crests. My 991.2 buckets have the same 911 stitching as the 4 ways. Makes them unique to the. model.

Yeah, my 718 T has 718 printed on the headrests to match the other T seats.

I prefer they have 911 on them and I'll put the crest on the armrest. In poking around the configurator, it seems very few cars give you anything on the headrests unless you order the crests. The Turbo S puts that name on the headrest, as does the GT3 and other "special" models. But not the base 911, nor the S nor GTS. So having "911" on them is a little bespoke it seems.

I've always had in mind GB + yellow accents ( seat belts + tach ) but if I get the leather Carrera t package with slate grey accents...don't wanna add another color to the party. unfortunately on the configurator, it is hard to see if slate grey pops out enough or if it kind of mixes with the black. actually, in the configurator, the stitching looks almost identical on both black/grey packages .. if it does...I would stick to the black/black leather interior + add yellow seatbelts.

I am also supposed to be high up on the list at my dealership, expecting allocation before the end of the year for a spring 2023 delivery ..so If I get news soon I'll let you know.
Found a couple of pics on the Gulf Blue press car; the black/grey combo has - in my opinion - too little contrast.

Might be an alternative to go for deviated stiching?

Has anyone gotten any word on first allocation release and/or a rough timeline for first deliveries? I'm second in line at my dealership for European Delivery at MSRP. I was initially loosely told first allocations may come in the November distribution with first deliveries around March/April, but I think that was speculation. I'm sure supply chain delays make it hard to predict.

Late November. I’m pondering playing a dangerous game, I strongly prefer Bose so I might pass up my first allocation and instead ask for the 2nd/3rd…

So is Porsche essentially bumping those people buying a T ahead of those already waiting for other models, like an S?

I don't believe so. My dealership does waitlists by sub-model. Base, S and GTS had 5, 10 or more on the list, but separate waitlists for European Delivery (since they get additional allocations for ED). I reached out as soon as the T was announced. There were 5 already on the list, but only 1 for ED. I wouldn't buy a new Porsche without ED.

I don't know if Porsche North America gives out Carrera allocations or breaks them down into base, S, GTS, T variants, but I assume broken down given the way my dealership does things. I'm sure someone here can correct me if they know more or better.

They're broken down by model and variant (every permutation of base/t/s/gts + coupe/cab/targa). I think the question is more whether Porsche themselves (not the dealers) is building more Carrera Ts than other models, and my guess is no -- but lists for the T were shorter so folks are going to "see them sooner", so to speak.

I also assume they are broken down by model. But what I mean by jumping ahead is this. Say Jane has a V070 request for a CS. She's been on that waiting list for months. Maybe she's 4th on the list now. Then Adam (me!) comes along on the day the T is launched and gets lucky and is awarded the very first allocation. Since the T is new and is supposedly being built and released for sale in a few months, who is getting a car first? If I get my car in March and Jane doesn't get one until July, see what I'm getting at?

Adding to that, let's say Porsche is building as many 911's as they can right now since there are so many demand orders waiting. If they have 1,000 orders and can only make 998 cars per x period, and now they introduce the 911T and promise to deliver them by spring 2023, did I just jump ahead of other 911 buyers waiting?

OR, is Porsche blowing smoke and there's no way they will build a single 911T before next summer?
