992 Carrera T Club

I didn't get CFR, but the same for me. No FAL, RAS or rear seats, I went with the standard Carrera wheels. This is my first 911, can't wait to get it!!

I have to give it to you, it does look rather special in a 911 where usually you always see rear seats.
There’s Porsche marketing for you again, we love the elimination of a feature!
I was also thinking if I were to eliminate the rear seats, might as well just wait for the LWBs!
Guys, my endeavor for a T may not be limited on getting an allocation, BUT limited by my lack of decision! I simply can’t decided on the options 😂😂😂.

I'm having a set custom made by BC Forged. Similar to BBS RE-MTSP. Likely in the 23lbs F and 27lbs R range.
I don't mind the stock wheels either but I do mind the weight. They're boat anchors. May keep the OEM wheels and tires. I prefer Cup 2s and if I get a GT3T allocation I'm in line for, I'll sell the T with the original wheels/tires and sell the new set separately.
Me too but no carbon roof. Opted for the wheels instead. Wheels save 4 to 5 lbs per corner and its unsprung weight. I'm going to work to get my T down to 3,100 lbs.
It's not a real T if it has rear seats. Having kids is the only acceptable exception.
Never been a fan of HREs. I think they started as high end forged so quality is there. But they always came across to me as a label which in the 70s Porsche community never could eclipse the forged Fuchs of the day. I did go with forged Fikse on my track car. But sometimes when strength and light don’t matter as much, there are so many disposable options out there. And…I really love the stock T wheels.
Will those switching to different wheels store the stock setup and buy new tires too? That way the tire lottery doesn’t matter so much?

How many pending new T owners opted to remove the rear seats? In reality I’m guessing it’s the minority?
Need input into my build lol. I can go either way at this point. One advantage to deleting the rear seats is the much larger rear storage space to put crap. Yes, defeats the whole weight saving aspect entirely.

I've had six 911's and have never used the rear seats, so this was an easy decision for me. By the time I could afford my first 911, my daughter was already 16 (I was 41). Now, at 53, I can't imagine ever using them, so I will not have them here. This is my first 911 without rear seats and that makes it seem more special to me. In choosing my options, I tried to focus on those items that are unique to the T, or not available on the base 911. Once I established this mantra, choosing was easy: no rear seats, manual, RAS, T-interior, T-decals, T-wheels.

I am 41 now and have a 2 and 6 year old, hence rear seats is a must alteast until i get the GT3 (allocation first in next 5-10 years lol), where its not an option anymore..

Good perspective on the stitching!
As for cargo room, from my perspective I feel like it does add some additional usable space. I have a 992 with rear seats and with the rear backs folded down, you do lose all the space below it. Living with the car, I get some folks like the shelf. But unless you have everything fully stuffed, whatever you put on it just rolls.
The seat delete offer a channel where the seats usually go to contain items. But at the end of the day we’re splitting hairs.

It’s a first world problem for sure. I reconfigured mine every day for months. Enjoy it and I wish I’d have got the paint to match interior. I opted not to get RAS for weight savings but still on fence (too late now). I got the painted hardback leather seats ( cool factor). The factory Motorsports stripe looks so cool on the carbon roof …..I had to. The design wheels were also a must. Reminds me of the old Fuchs.
