I'm certainly hoping that's not true. I understand it's got more limited appeal, as do many colors like yellow, lava and even red. But I don't think they pulled it because of a lack of sales. They often remove colors to mix things up. At least that's what I'm going to tell myself (and my wife, who hates the green! LOL)
Three Wheelin'
All very good points by everyone. My biggest issue is the smaller platform. I too was looking at this through the same points that @VarTheVar made: opportunity cost. 1. some are still paying ADM, 2. invoice is pre-price hike, 3. you're at least 6 months away from the car if you ordered today, 4. No more PG. These are things I thought about when I speculated this might go to $155k. Paying $15k ($10k + fees) over current price to get a driver-spec car that can no longer be built without PTS and getting it today seems like a reasonable premium.

Wouldnt it just be perfect to have the 6 gear shift pattern for all the owners hating their 7th gear ?

THANKS!
Yes, I was told to email with Roy, send pics, and tell him I have the CGTS and he knew which brushed aluminum matches that best.
Not really. If you look closely at the pic below and my pics, it's still a round top, it's just that the pitch changes a bit. But the top where the gear shift pattern is located is definitely still round.
We'll see if I decide to do it or not.

The silver brush matches the rest perfectly.
You had a round upper shifter and now went for flattened. This was my initial worry.
Glad to hear you are happy about the feel. Quality looks amazing. The shifter looks like he will fit the T even better.

@tourenwagen here are the examples of the Race Tex match. Looks amazing right? And also a nice example of somebody with yellow stitching adding it to the shiftknob and also added a blue example. If you look closely you can see they can also cut out the Porsche style shiftnumbers.
I like it that these shifters resemble the 992 T shifter much more than the 991 ones. Especially if you go for the GT2 with the opening on the side just like the T manual shifter has. The GT3 is 77mm and the GT2 is 73mm. Roy is advising to go for the medium heavy one. The one we have now is 100gram so that’s a bit too light. The heavy one is too much for normal usage. So the medium one should feel best (unless of course you like the current weight feel than you can opt for the light one). He also said the GT1 is the one he prefers for the T. It just doesn’t have the opening on the side.

Honestly not a bad Idea lol I kinda like the thought of that (having a secret gear so anyone in the car who is new looks at you like a psycho when you keep shifting past 6th aaaahahahaha)

To all the people who have gotten the speed shifter will you also be purchasing the numeric short throw shifter? I really think that that is a mod I would like to do but, before I come to a decision, if any of you have feedback from installing it in your T or 992 I would love to hear it. I am worried about Does it really make a difference? Have any of you purchased the numeric short throw shifter with the 1 spring vs 2 stiffened spring on the shifter and wanted it to be stiffer or not as stiff?

Based on my research, the Numeric shifter is a monster! Every review I read was positive, except that some complain about more noise/vibration being transmitted.
For my Cayman, I bought a used GT4 OEM shifter when someone installed the Numeric, so for $100 I went that route and am happy. It's about an inch shorter and really felt better, now adding the shifter **** to it is really nice.
For my 911, I find that the stock cables really flex a lot. They feel more like a cable-controlled shifter whereas the Cayman feels like linkage. So I could see doing the cables either in addition to or instead of the Numeric shifter. I'd definitely try to find someone with it installed and feel it first.
It's a pretty simple mod, at least the shifter is, not the cables, so you can't go wrong. And if you dislike them, I'll buy it from you for a fair price
