Per my porsche dealer, when i ordered in jan, he said the cost to replace the front bumper in case of a scratch or scrape is < half the price of FAL.
So he specifically asked me not to get it. He instead suggested RAS and Power steer.
And if you also went manual and removed the rear seats you’ve probably got the bragging rights of the lightest T on this forum.
In fact if you specced the lightweight roof you’ve almost certainly got the lightest car here
The front lip does not protect you completely since it doesn't wrap around the full bumper. The edges of the bumper (painted portion) are still vulnerable.
I opted for FAL and am glad I did… my driveway used to scrape unless I reversed up at 2mph and even then it caught sometimes; plus I opted for SD and so my front lip is painted.

If on the other hand you personally weigh 300 pounds then that weight saving is offset
I got the manual. No FAL, no RAS, no rear seats and I got CFR. The wheels are also 4lbs lighter than the T’s. I’d gladly lose the A/C. 😂
That looks beautiful!
Along with the constant technical refinement of 911’s over the years and decades the current generation (992) is in my mind the prettiest of the lot.
How many pending new T owners opted to remove the rear seats? In reality I’m guessing it’s the minority?
Need input into my build lol. I can go either way at this point. One advantage to deleting the rear seats is the much larger rear storage space to put crap. Yes, defeats the whole weight saving aspect entirely.
I was going to leave rear seats out but with the Lizard Green Interior costing nearly $7K I wanted every seat in for full effect. Also, I asked a bunch of RL'ers if you gain any cargo space by deleting the seats and the answer was no, not much so why bother?

Good perspective on the stitching!
As for cargo room, from my perspective I feel like it does add some additional usable space. I have a 992 with rear seats and with the rear backs folded down, you do lose all the space below it. Living with the car, I get some folks like the shelf. But unless you have everything fully stuffed, whatever you put on it just rolls.
The seat delete offer a channel where the seats usually go to contain items. But at the end of the day we’re splitting hairs.
As the father of 4 grown children who’s bought and driven Suburbans, Land Rovers, and other family haulers, checking the rear seat delete option on my T order felt great. No regrets. No remorse.
I have to give it to you, it does look rather special in a 911 where usually you always see rear seats.
There’s Porsche marketing for you again, we love the elimination of a feature!
I was also thinking if I were to eliminate the rear seats, might as well just wait for the LWBs!
Guys, my endeavor for a T may not be limited on getting an allocation, BUT limited by my lack of decision! I simply can’t decided on the options 😂😂😂.
I can help - I’m an options expert!
First I’ll need your full bank acc details. If it’s then obvious money is no object I’ll find 40k of options to suit your specific lifestyle.
Hope that helps
