Curious, when it came down to it, what was the T lacking for you? Plans to go after something completely different?

Hope you’re able to find the one that ticks all the boxes. 👍🏻

+1 from me. My wife’s car (suv) assumes the driver has no idea what he/she is doing and is beeping all the time, drives me insane. Cannot be disabled either. Some of us look at our mirrors!

My freeze date is 3/12, and SA said (a couple of weeks ago) expected delivery is mid-May.

Does this seem realistic, assuming supply chain has been rectified? I shouldn’t actually post this, because preceding sentence is everything…

Kind of agree - my dealer said I’m mad not to get surround view, but I haven’t scratched an alloy in years so why would I now??
What did drivers of expensive cars do before surround view was invented - used their eyes and ears.
If I had a really tight garage then I might get it so if my wife was driving (unlikely but….) she could use it.

While I’m at it, two more things (sorry).

1) I wanted painted lower lip but porsche says no-go on that option until May. Does the no-go ever improve? Is it pointless to hound the SA? I spec’d SD front as a consequence cause with a lighter color standard looks like too much plastic to me w/o painted lip.

2) I wonder if anyone does not spec leather interior? I’m settling on leather + ac seats just to get total leather setup, but there’s a thought of saving about 5.5g going totally bare-bones. Eh, nagana do it. But tempting almost.

Fun thread, love everyone’s pictures!

First note - what does it say on the website with other dates about the other steps? We all have dates on those and can see how close they are to hitting them. So far I haven't seen anyone with big delays.

2) many don't spec leather interior. One T feature is sport-tex seat centers...are that even available on other 911s?

Did you say ‘tiny’ ?
This generation is huge compared to a 996.
OK I exaggerate slightly but you get the drift

Even in the UK during order/construction some dealers give 3 phases, others 4 and in my case 5 (although one of those phases is a track day at Silverstone).
Weird
It is definitely very un-German I have to say! My car is practically on my driveway and I’m still at stage 3 of 5. The local dealer has no say in it though; I’m in regular contact with mine and have a great relationship. They send me screenshots of their system which has many lines of info and if they had any say in it I can assure you they would have updated it.
I believe all UK orders are the same 5 stage process though.
1 - Your order has been created
2 - PDE at Silverstone
3 - The 911 development process
4 - An exclusive preview of your vehicle
5 - Final steps before delivery

I only saw the other dates (planned) at the dealership, maybe I need to explore the website a bit more. My Porsche website provides planned manufacturing dates, etc? I’ll poke around. Thanks

I found it. Thanks. Freeze in 3 days, dealership mid-May. We’ll see what happens

I think I’ve seen some UK orders on this forum with only 4 stages of production

Not sure then… either way hopefully in the next week or so the space in my garage will be filled!
