Porsche has been using these type of paints since the 50s (Fashion Grey, Sand Grey). Slate grey was used for one of the first 911s as well. Not sure there is anything new. Trends in paint color are always there, but these colors are all classic. Chalk is just an updated version to me. The comparison to primer or drywall doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I could make negatively compare almost any color to something.

Oh my. What did I write. LOL.
I meant to say 'I could make negative comments on almost any color'...or something like that. I think I need to stop writing/editing when multitasking at work.
But....glad you understood.

So, here is some interesting scoop for anyone who left Emden on the Violet Ace. As a close cousin of the Felicity Ace, now well fastned to the bottom of the Atlantic. The Violet Ace appears to be making no headway off the cost of England. It is not in the main traffic pattern, moving in a bad direction, and sadly my T is on it. Hope this is just a minor setback and not another smoldering Taycan. Maybe a fouled spark plug on the diesel! You can find this on VesselFinder.com. I'll be checking again in the morning hoping she is back underway for Halifax. The arrival date to Halifax just moved out 3 days. This Porsche buying experience is certainly time consuming and somewhat entertaining! Will be glad when its over.

Your thinking is very flawed! Everyone knows diesels don't have spark plugs! LOL (Or was that your intended sarcasm? hehehe)
last year my CGTS was on the Felicity Ace a month before it went down. I can't imagine what I would have been like had my car become a reef! I was tracking my ship last year and I do recall a few times it seemingly stalling en route. I don't know why they wait, but sometimes they just do. Let's hope it's just something like giving the crew a rest to hold down overtime.
Keep us posted!

Ships have to fit into port schedule, which might be disrupted by other ships. it is safer for a ship to be taking scenic route in calm waters than be parked outside of the harbour gates.

Just called the dealer but the car is still on transport so cannot go to make some pictures. Would be nice for some of you to get some clear closeups for the T interior slate grey. Would be happy to help some of you guys out again but maybe it will be next week.

toph4242, I have only checked on the mobile app. I was never sent production pictures as I had expected. Instead, when I go to track my Porsche, there’s a box that says “Insights From Production.” Within that box, I am able to click a link that says “Find out more now.” Clicking that link takes me to three pictures I can scroll through, showing paint, then assembly line, and then completed production. I note that “completed production” is missing at least the front lip, side decal, and wheel center caps.

Having said all of that, I prefer metallic colors on the 911 but only because it works so well on the car. My RS3 is turbo blue. A non-metallic toyish blue that's similar to the early 2000s S4 blue. I like that for the car as well. If it suits the car and you like it, go for it. If others hate it, that's icing on the cake.
