Hope you’re able to find the one that ticks all the boxes. 👍🏻

Clearly you have a lot to say. From what I read here driver aides work for you. For me they annoy me as I try to actually drive. Had lots on an X5M that falsed all the time. Have them turned off on other cars. I'm not one to get behind the wheel and get distracted easily. I'm there to drive. Cruise control, let alone an active setup is unnecessary for me and my wife. We just built out a Taycan GTS sport turismo for her and when we got to those types of options, she declined saying she never uses them on her E450 wagon. Quite frankly you are showing (something) thinking it is a masculinity thing - get over it. You want/need them, or you don't. You do, I don't.

My freeze date is 3/12, and SA said (a couple of weeks ago) expected delivery is mid-May.
Does this seem realistic, assuming supply chain has been rectified? I shouldn’t actually post this, because preceding sentence is everything…

What did drivers of expensive cars do before surround view was invented - used their eyes and ears.
If I had a really tight garage then I might get it so if my wife was driving (unlikely but….) she could use it.

While I’m at it, two more things (sorry).
1) I wanted painted lower lip but porsche says no-go on that option until May. Does the no-go ever improve? Is it pointless to hound the SA? I spec’d SD front as a consequence cause with a lighter color standard looks like too much plastic to me w/o painted lip.
2) I wonder if anyone does not spec leather interior? I’m settling on leather + ac seats just to get total leather setup, but there’s a thought of saving about 5.5g going totally bare-bones. Eh, nagana do it. But tempting almost.
Fun thread, love everyone’s pictures!

2) many don't spec leather interior. One T feature is sport-tex seat centers...are that even available on other 911s?

Agreed!
I assume the local dealer (dealer network) has a major input on how and when the customer gets updated? As you say it can’t be dictated by Stuttgart otherwise there’d be more consistency.
Even in the UK during order/construction some dealers give 3 phases, others 4 and in my case 5 (although one of those phases is a track day at Silverstone).
Weird

I believe all UK orders are the same 5 stage process though.
1 - Your order has been created
2 - PDE at Silverstone
3 - The 911 development process
4 - An exclusive preview of your vehicle
5 - Final steps before delivery

I only saw the other dates (planned) at the dealership, maybe I need to explore the website a bit more. My Porsche website provides planned manufacturing dates, etc? I’ll poke around. Thanks

It is definitely very un-German I have to say! My car is practically on my driveway and I’m still at stage 3 of 5. The local dealer has no say in it though; I’m in regular contact with mine and have a great relationship. They send me screenshots of their system which has many lines of info and if they had any say in it I can assure you they would have updated it.
