I can't speak to how appreciably different the GTS suspension is as compared to a T/S equipped with SPASM, but without knowing I would argue that under the right conditions and based on the driver, one may notice those differences, but as a daily or even for weekend drives, most of us would likely either not notice it, or might notice it only as a slight difference.

I'm sure the GTS crowd who is more knowledgeable could weigh in on the nuances between the GTS vs T/S SPASM.

As posted above, the GTS has different spring rates and dampers that are shared with the S-PASM of the turbo/turbo-S. Having driven my friends S-PASM equipped C2S back-to-back with my S-PASM turbo, the ~30% stiffer spring rates can definitely be felt from the driver's seat, with a sportier and more precise handling but less a comfortable ride. Further, the front spring rates are increased more significantly that the rears (40% vs 22%), which improves turn-in response while improving mid-corner and corner exit rear-end grip.

Did they guarantee that in writing? Got a call back from West Broward today but haven't gotten that far in the process yet to ask.

this will be my second order and purchase with them, I trust them 100%

Bruno is my salesman there, give him a call if you want to order there. I had a tough time trying to order my 718 from West Broward but Champion blew them away with no prior purchase experiences.

True the brakes and the higher power can make a big difference. Guess there will be a 911 for every kinda personality.

I'm jumping from the GTS line to the T line.... here is my build... pretty basic but isn't that the point? My questions is how does the standard audio compare to Bose? Or is Bose the standard now? I can not tell.

Black
T interior package with grey sport tex accents
Manual
PDLS
Carbon Bespoke illuminated door sills (white 911 body outlines)
Race Tex headliner maybe??

$123,080

my favorite poster! I keep waffling on the aero kit as well… ugh

I’ll probably not select it either, but a white build with a black aerokit speaks to my soul.

Right now the latter would have me questioning the announcement of a Carrera T and its addition to the configurators worldwide as we've clearly seen that Porsche (included many other auto manufacturers) are having real difficulty meeting current demand and allocations for new cars as well as deliveries is suffering subsequently. Most dealers have NO new cars on the showroom floors still and we're talking well into 2022 now and those that arrive are already ordered cars. Certain models still have waitlists past 12-18 mos with no end in sight and options are being removed/restricted across model lines and bands due to many things which are still beyond Porsche's control.

So I'd be real cautious about anyone anywhere who told me the 992 T was right around the corner as far as release an allocations as Porsche still seems to have trouble delivering GTS and Turbo S and GT3 to this market and now we're seeing similar for GTS 4.0's and other models...so to add the T to their production woes and the current unpredictability would seem insane. Just my 2 cents..
So I stand corrected...pleasantly so! Happy for you guys waiting but will still keep my 2021 Carrera S! Now if this was 2020 and I was ordering...it would definitely be an option between the S and the T as the base car I drove was pleasantly surprisingly quick and all I really wanted was a manual Carrera and sports chrono and an exhaust! Enjoy guys when you get them...

But you can build a great T for $125-130k which is a minimally optioned S. And if you spec the bucket seats it becomes a special car
I’d ask your service department how that will effect your warranty……

Their motorsports division sells a tune

But again, I'm going to enjoy the T on its stock tune. It'll be much faster than my 718T which is already a hoot for me.

And that is the real rub here...also why many were doubtful it would be announced as still in Q3 2022 getting a fresh allocation from a dealer [at least in the US] for any Carrera 992 outside of some base cars has been frustratingly difficult for many I've talked to. Just are no available cars allocated...most dealer seem to be sold out thru the next 6-12 mos. OR as said are still asking ridiculous ADMs. Thus the frustration an doubt of if this model every would arrive but now IF anyone will EVER get one easily. We shall see....

And a generational change is WAY bigger than the change from a .1 to a .2. Hell, I just ordered a new Cayenne prior to the facelift because I don't like some of the things I seen in the spyshots for the upcoming car. Quite frankly, I don't see this as a big deal.

As for your other point, the T has almost certainly always been in the business plan for the 992. At it's heart, it's simply a re-configuring of existing options that are arbitrarily set by Porsche anyway. I mean, there's no reason they couldn't allow the base Carrera to have the MT, PASM and locking diff other than they didn't want the hierarchy to be upset. So how in any way does this break their concentration?
So you fell for the purposefully ugly camouflage panels on the test car and that kept you ordering the old one. That worked well for them then. I always wondered who actually fell for that. Within weeks of the lovely new facelifted Cayenne being released your new car will look dated, will be significantly devalued and you’ll wish you’d waited.

You’ll soon see how their concentration is distracted when everybody who’s been waiting 12 months already for a MT GT3, GTS or S car is now held up further because Porsche are out of MT box parts because they pushed to get the new run of first T’s out the door at the expense of everything else.

Some people are just so naive and shortsighted on these threads it constantly amazes me.

It's odd the press release has LWBs but the configurator does not.

Also unfortunate they don't have fabric door pulls, but that's more aesthetics than anything. It would have been cool if they offered old school door handles (ie GT3RS) but that would be pushing it, I know.

A lightweight, louder Carrera with sports suspension, MT and unique trim pieces with the option for LWB and PCCB is what made the original T an interesting option.

So far - the T available on the NA configurator is not the same car.
