992 Carrera T Club

Entertaining to read some of the posts of people trying to talk themselves in/or out of a T for various reasons. I feel like this is a car you either get, or you don't. Either way is fine.
I remember reading somewhere that the Base (and T now), S and GTS all have the same engine and turbos with different software programs dictating HP. Is that still true? Softronic quotes a tuned base (T) HP number of 485HP vs 560HP on a tuned S. So are there any mechanical differences between the base and S engines?

This 992 T will likely have the exact same, as there is no Carrera the gearing isn’t “shorter” but the result is the same.

And agreed, hopefully the 992 gets some cool behind the scenes stuff like our cars did. I'm thinking there will be more produced than ours though, given the new hype...

@S S Now that the market is going the other way, and those on lists are probably backing out more and more, I'm sure anyone willing to pay for one will get one.

The 992T seems to be perfect for that person wanting a no frills sport oriented base Carrera with a manual transmission. Might be considering changing my allocation request from an S to the T. I only have an issue with one item on the T configuration which I consider personally annoying, and that's the expanded use of piano black surfaces for the interior trim inlays. Why interior designers continue to do this is just perplexing to me. Instead of piano black, dark aluminum as used in the GTS would be the perfect compliment with the offered interior choices.

It will be. It shows up on the Kuwait configurator as a special color. It's supposed to come as a special color across the model lines (718 and 911) for the second half of the 2023 model year

The T is the sweet spot between the base Carrera and the S.

Good luck to everyone trying to get an allocation. Hopefully there will be plenty to go around in time.

Well, I'm excited to report that the stars have all aligned just right, and I'm officially #1 on the list for a T at my local dealer. I guess that means I have to buy a new Porsche to park next to... my other new Porsche! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine...
Anyway, now... what color?
