Not everyone needs the extra power and those willing to tune their cars will make the same or more power as an S

But you can build a great T for $125-130k which is a minimally optioned S. And if you spec the bucket seats it becomes a special car

I think someone mentioned this above, but the T doesn’t allow you to select the Heritage interiors either, so if that’s of interest you need to go with the C2 or C2S.

I played around with aerokit, interiors etc. and found that the best build is a very basic performance orientated car at 124k

Here’s my build. Need 4 seats for family. I’m back and forth about 18’s & 4 way seats. I LOVE 18’s but I like the efficient access to the back seats that the 4 ways provide. Any insight?

I remember ordering my 2020 S when they were announced in 2019. Configured my build and sent it to SA in late April 2019. He comes back with, 'you know you'll be paying MSRP.' I said fine. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Here are two build codes- one for the S and another for the T.

http://www.porsche-code.com/PPY1SPR4 (Carrera T)

http://www.porsche-code.com/PP3MRJ43 (Carrera S)

Seems like the T version with pretty much similar specs hit it out the park and saves you 12k too (which you can use to get more goodies) or put it in your pocket. You do lose out on Bose Speakers, extra horses and few things here and there. But for most part they are quite identical! Would be hard to tell one apart from another. Seems like T is a good package compared to the S. You have to pay extra for lot of things in the S (sports exhaust etc) that are included with the T, plus you can get bucket seats too that you can't with the S.

Have same questions.

Can dealers enter orders into system yet?

When are expected first deliveries?

I believe the standard is that the curb weight should reflect the standard model with fluids and 75 kg for the driver and luggage. Optional equipment is only included if the manufacturer expects more than one-third of vehicles to be equipped with it. I doubt more than one-third of Carrera Ts will have a carbon fiber roof.

I drive 100% on the street. The T is more than capable of getting me arrested and the car impounded. We have become obsessed with horsepower and numbers. I've been blown away from the two 991.2 T's I've owned over the last two months (yes, really). It's very much a 911 and I love some of the small details that differentiate it from others in the lineup. Is saving some money a motivator? I'd be lying if I said no. BUT, I have decided that the price gap between the two cars I've specified, GTS and T, is not justified FOR ME.

The S gives you a power bump and bigger brakes, the main two differences. The T with rear seat delete, buckets, less sound deadening, thinner glass, weight diet...just seems like it would be a much more rewarding and raw driving experience. If you are going full GT mode with luxury options, another $15k+ for S might be of order.

You're already giving up 65hp and bigger brakes to save $10K. How much ADM can they possibly ask for before people just buy an S?

ADM makes no sense on the T

Yes. The GTS shares its suspension with the S-PASM of the turbo/turbo-S, which has ~30% stiffer spring rates and different dampers than the S-PASM found on the other Carrera models.

How noticeable is that driving compared to a S?
