Discussion Topic: When shopping for a T, what other cars were you considering?
I'll go first. I have always dreamed of a 911 but was discouraged when I found out about how long the wait times were and the huge ADMs (25k on a base here in SoCal). My first alternative (and I still get so thrilled when I see them) was a Lexus LC500. I went so far as test driving 2 only to find out that, at the time, Lexus indefinitely paused production. A few months later, I checked out a Porsche dealership and asked about a T. And the rest is history

The T was announced so I reached out and got on as #2 on the waitlist. Allocation around christmas, but build date in June. So I continue to wait and watch all these other T's come in. I'll be doing a 911/718 factory tour a week from tomorrow so looking forward to seeing some T's in the flesh at various states of completion.

Not a T but interesting colour and floral display tonight nonetheless! 😀 Loads of people turned out for the ‘F1 in Schools’ event… great food and cocktails! Spent some time discussing the three T’s they were allocated (2 customer 1 dealership) and their spec decisions! Mine should be finished 03/03 and delivered 17/03 but could be a few days after that before I can get my hands on it.

Still pretty big FAIL ordering such an expensive convertible and not adding the leather backside seats…

Didn’t really cross shop with anything because sadly there aren’t too many RWD MT performance vehicles being produced these days.. especially ones with an Ethos 🙂

Yea, you gotta figure Porsche didn't pick that color by mistake. It's different materials, so I think it's fine. The stitching pops more with the brighter color. Yes, I'd like the belts to match perfectly, but as I said, different materials so it's ok. That's why I tend to not like exterior colors on a hard painted surface inside the car. Exception: Jeep doors or similar setups where the exterior paint is VISIBLE inside, which is different than painting interior bits in exterior colors. But thread/fabric: different story. Just my .02.

Here's another. Headed for IL. Looks like a dealer spec as well (PDK + Sunroof): https://finder.porsche.com/us/en-US/details/OZ7MRL
If we are keeping score, so far out of 5 new T's on Porsche Finder, 1 is manual, 4 have sunroofs and none have RAS:
