To answer you question though, when my build was first submitted before ED was confirmed, it told me an estimated delivery date of 4/12... So it was on the same delivery track as you... With June 6th as the Euro delivery date, Ill be lucky if I get the car in the US by the end of July, but far more likely sometime in August (which seems so damn far away... luckily the June trip should more than make up for it)

What's your build again? I have a factory tour scheduled 3/3 and will already be looking out for toph's ruby. They don't allow photos, but I'll sneak 'em if I can ;-)

My TYD does not provide me with an estimated delivery date because I have European Delivery set up. After my car starts production on 3/3 I am being told that TYD will update with some information and dates related to ED... but who knows.

Oooo right! An aero build! I hope I see it. Will try to be sneaky without Porsche kicking me out and blacklisting me

When I was there in 2019 and went on a factory tour, they actually collected our phones at one point because they gave us the honor of walking into a side room where they were completing the build on the (at the time) new 935 'Moby Dick' race cars... The designers/engineers/product managers were all on the factory floor discussing final alterations and they allowed our small tour group of about 5-6 people to come up and ask questions about the car and functionality/performance related things we might want to learn about... It was AMAZING to be able to stand in the assembly line and talk directly to the few people involved in creating one of their incredible race cars.
SO @HerrDr, dont be shocked or annoyed if they ask you to hand over the iphone for an hour

Given how many heritage and special models they keep putting out (and dealers subsequently tacking on $250k markups on...) there may be a chance for something like that. I'm mostly just eager to see a fresh new T being put together. Bonus if I can tell whose it might be.
@toph4242 Did you happen to also go on the engine/powertrain building tour? They seem to have not restarted that post-COVID.

Then they take you back to the assembly line and you see the marriage of the powertrain and the body.... I am so excited to go back and do this again, it was such a cool experience and they really show you everything and you are RIGHT there with the workers.
But yes, My experience was May 2019 ( 1 year pre covid... so Im sure its altered now)

yes... we got to walk on a "catwalk"/elevated walkway and look down on the engine assembly line as a whole, and then they walk you down to the main floor and you can walk up to essentially 1 station where they were installing the cylinder heads on an engine... This was after the suspension assembly line part of the tour, and right before you walked into the cow hide room and watched them cutting the raw leather...
Then they take you back to the assembly line and you see the marriage of the powertrain and the body.... I am so excited to go back and do this again, it was such a cool experience and they really show you everything and you are RIGHT there with the workers.

I was at the BMW mfg plant in South Carolina (largest BMW plant in the world) and the robots working in the plant use some sort of over the air communication that can be interfered with so they limit cell phone usage (they have to be turned off while inside)
At least that is what they told us
