992 track guys and gals, what are you doing about buffeting? I installed AWE Foiler Wind Diffuser on the little areas by the wing mirrors, and while it did help it is useless above 120mph or so. I was at WGI this weekend, and the back straight where you are at 130mph+, the buffeting is so bad, the vibration made my vision blurry. What has your experience been, and has anyone truly solved this issue? My M3CS used to get to 145-150 back there with zero buffeting so it was surprising to me to find such a glaring issue on 992’s.
I didn't have that problem the 2x I was at the Glen last year for HPDE's with the AWE diffusers installed then again, it wasn't windy out-was it when you tracked? I suspect it was since it was windy in WNY.
I have a question that was discussed earlier. What are your opinions and experience on whether a 911T will depreciate slower or faster than the other 911 models? There appears less appetite for a T - but I could be wrong and am seriously looking to buy a 2023. How much do you think they are now worth? Thanks

I believe future resale and demand for a T will largely depend on whether or not Porsche decides to bring the T model back for the 992.2 gen, or if it goes on hiatus until Porsche decides to bring it back again, if ever. If it does make a return after 992.2, the chances it will have the combination of full ICE + manual transmission will be slim sadly. The T is the 911 model you get to drive and enjoy for yourself now anyway, and not for resale. Luckily, the used 992 market has cooled off a bit of late and you should be able to find a 2023 T to your liking for a decent price if you look hard enough.

without a crystal ball, its hard to say what future values will look like... but one thing is for certain, there isnt a lot of new cars offered in manual. and in 10 years time with everything going and being electric, a manual car will hold its value better than an auto. I also think the T will hold its value better than a 992.1 S because of the 991.2 T. when you look at that market, the Ts seem to be doing well relative to other trims at similar mileage. so you can guestimate with the 992.
The T will only be offered for another year. then once those allocations dry up, the low mileage good examples should hold firm on values for a while. maybe go up. who knows?
The thing about sport design is the rear on the US cars have the bumperettes for the smaller plates, which is not a good look. I'm not even convinced the higher plate is ideal in itself, despite being similar to the way the GT bumpers are. I also don't love the painted front lip spoiler. They need to work on the sport bumpers some, I think.

It's definitely a personal thing. Some people prefer it because it's a more familiar look, at least when compared to previous gen. But I'm with you - I like both the non-sport design front, and especially the rear with low-placement of license plate.
Your handle and 911 list is very familiar... former fellow B7 RS4 owner and qwot'er?

Larry; yes! Good memory. I remember you as well. Blue 997 GT3? I never had an RS4 but I had a couple RS5's. Nice to see you here after all these years. You still in Chicago?

Yes, still in Chicago. Good seeing you on here and excellent choice with your incoming T. Got mine last month and it's been a worthy replacement for the 7.2 that I reluctantly sold after a 13-year love affair. A perfect daily 911 which the GT3 wasn't, though I do miss the mezger's wail just a tiny bit

I should have included race-tex headliner on my spec. Looks good with alcantara surfaces
