Has Porsche addressed and remedied this glass issue on the 2024's ?
I had my car checked out at a Porsche dealership and it seemed like mine was clear of the problem.
My dad’s GT3 unfortunately did not come out unscathed coming back from a trip, he was affected by the defective glass problem that plagued many 911 variants. His window passenger side got cracked in a spiral, 🌀 literally looked like this emoji throughout the window :/ it’s been fixed per warranty with no issues. It was cover as well since the glass had no point of impact from like a rock or something
Leaning towards painting the mirrors in body color and having the wheels finished per below. The other option would be painting mirrors in Gulf Orange to match the calipers and stripe. Wondering if that's too much. Thoughts?
I think you should sell me those wheels instead and buy aftermarket 😁 Or take my S wheels and paint em.

I had this same color spec’d for a month before it got denied. Absolutely gorgeous.
I did an exotic car rally with a group in Austin, Texas during Father's Day weekend. Only in this company could a Shark Blue 992 look like a wallflower. 😆
Not sure I've seen many updates on the LWG recall. I had my 1 year service done this morning and while at the dealer, they did the test on the windshield and rear glass. They pull up with a suction cup, blow air around the window seals from the inside, and spray soapy water outside looking for leaks. The inspection went well - my glass is good. I didn't want them to wash it so they did their best to tidy up the soap mess. Nice to have that behind me.
Had mine checked a couple of weeks ago per the recall letter. September 2023 build. Done a couple of short runs since and no issues so far …
I have a '24 that was produced in September '23 and the glass broke in early April and I'm still waiting on a replacement 3 months later with no ETS from the dealer. I got the recall letter 2 weeks after the window cracked on it's own. The good news is that is was not an issue getting them to order a replacement, the bad news is I have no idea when one will ever arrive.
@cyclingismylife and @Icegrill and others My dealer (OPC) called today to say the new replacement windscreen was in stock now.
That took 9 days from the 25th June until now to arrive from Germany. Guess being in Europe things happen a lot quicker. The good thing is the lightweight windscreens exist! So they must be on their way for those folks waiting in the USA?
My car is now booked in for the replacement work in two weeks time. I will keep you posted.
Best, Devon Racer.
