Yes, still in Chicago. Good seeing you on here and excellent choice with your incoming T. Got mine last month and it's been a worthy replacement for the 7.2 that I reluctantly sold after a 13-year love affair. A perfect daily 911 which the GT3 wasn't, though I do miss the mezger's wail just a tiny bit

That was a last second addition for me, but I'm glad I did it. I was shocked when I couldn't get race-tex sun visors. I tried everything possible, and it was a no go. I guess just just ran out or would not let me have it for whatever reason. No worries, as I can get it wrapped by my local upholstery shop... and if not I can pay out of my nose for the authentic Porsche ones (which I'll never do at this price)...

I believe future resale and demand for a T will largely depend on whether or not Porsche decides to bring the T model back for the 992.2 gen, or if it goes on hiatus until Porsche decides to bring it back again, if ever. If it does make a return after 992.2, the chances it will have the combination of full ICE + manual transmission will be slim sadly. The T is the 911 model you get to drive and enjoy for yourself now anyway, and not for resale. Luckily, the used 992 market has cooled off a bit of late and you should be able to find a 2023 T to your liking for a decent price if you look hard enough.

Similar timing to @Wilder , I just wrapped a dream trip, collecting my T in Zuffenhausen, and then a 16 day trip throughout Austria & Germany. While I had to skip the Großglocknerstraße (what do you know, it snowed in May that day) it was an amazing trip. Naturally, I tested some top-speeds on the Autobahn. Living in the US (for 20+ years now) it seems crazy to have no speed limits. One thing is for sure, 911s are a real Autobahn weapon (and this is the base-engine). I topped out at 165mph (not because of the car, but I simply didn’t feel the need to push more as you zip by the cars in middle or right line at quite a speed). The car was so planted and glued to the road (even in bends at that speed). It was incredible and gives the driver (and even passenger) confidence. While that experience was fun and all, the highlight for me were the country-roads through the Austrian Alps and Germany countryside.
I capped the trip with a drive through the Black Forrest (a must if you pick-up or drop-off a car in Stuttgart in my opinion) and a day on the Nürburgring. It was like Disneyland for Motor-heads and we had the time of our lives there. I’ll definitely take my 2 boys there when they are the right age (their current age is perfect for the back-seats of a 911
).
Driving the Nordschleife on a wet morning (after it rained all night), wasn’t ideal, but actually a lot of fun, because there were fewer cars on track. Didn’t take any chances, and picked a “pace car” to follow (who I thought was familiar with the track), and then E36 M3 spun around on the damp track right in front of me (I have it on video, too…he barely slid into the gravel at a low speed luckily). It was a bit slick, but the T was incredibly capable and confidence inspiring. I certainly didn’t push it too hard (probably 7/10 but never max acceleration) or set any records and focused on making memories and enjoying the moment! The goal was to bring it home…literally![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Definitely checked off a major bucket list item with the European Delivery Experience (on my first 911 as well) and can’t recommend it highly enough. My advice: If you ever get the chance to drive your new 911 throughout Europe, definitely take advantage.
Now it means being patient again for ~2 more months before it arrives in Seattle.

@zanary I just love the combination of ruby with yellow. Brilliant! Love your car and options and all the accessories.
@gk2k1 what a beautiful trip and car and pictures! Glad to see you enjoyed it all. Autobahn is a dream. So glad I am so close to the border. About the rain: I have driven a lot of BMW and other cars but no car grips as good in the wet/rain as a 911.

As I eagerly await my delayed T, curious if you could articulate what is causes the difference in connection? Looking for things to make the wait easier, lots of Rennlist time…

Yep my Targa 4S made on the Freesia Leader as well so I'm now a week ahead of the original TYD estimates. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Looks like it's arriving at Benicia on the 26th of June. I just found the schedule for for Freesia Leader here. Let the countdown begin!
