@CJDCREW welcome, big congrats, and good move! Gentian is probably my second favorite color on the 992 after black.
I find Gentian to be a classy color. I'd skip the Lizard interior and the Racetex in favor of Slate and leather which suit the vibe of the color a bit more. Gentian interior trim looks nice.
My car is lowered and traveling through San Francisco, Santa Barbara and now in LA, I've tackled some serious road angles without issue. I see no use for FAL unless you have an extreme gradient in your driveway.
RAS... if you're more digital than analogue, get it. If you're more analogue than digital, skip it. It's the simplest way to approach it without getting caught up in the minutia.
Unless your kids are on the shorter side, getting in the rear seats might be a short lived novelty thing.
Thank you for the insight.
on the FAL - just had my buddy come over in a base 997 and… SCRAPE in my dastardly driveway. I think it’s FAL for me.
rear Seats - yes, but in exchange for the support I think I’m willing to make this compromise!
leather v racetex - an interesting point on the vibe of the color, I need to contemplate that a bit. I hadn’t considered color vibe!
RAS - in all the debates over thousands of posts, I’ve not seen it put so simply, I like that quite a lot.
envious of your journey, miles of western open roads with fun cities in between.
I look forward to seeing your German project car..
It's really a great addition that really sets the interior apart! And shaves some grams from the OEM setup for the true rennsport aficionado. We offer popular Porsche seatbelt colors besides black, silver, and red. Our pull handles meet, or exceed, the 4000lbs+ tensile strength of the OEM RS straps. We offer tailor-made straps for those wishing to match their interior fabrics (leather, alcantara, textile patterns overlaid on high tensile strength straps. Use Renn25 to save $25OFF your order. Last but not least, we also offer restrap services for those wanting to upgrade their current 992 RS pullstrap into a different colorway.

Think Seattle Seahawks colors. It's not that odd. Unless you hate the Seahawks.
Exactly what I thought when I saw it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t my car so I don’t have pics. I have a black T with lizard green interior (dealer spec) because everything goes with black. I can show you that if you like but others have posted pics here and it may not help much.
Trust me. It looks great and like @rasetsu said, think Seattle Seahawks uniforms.
strange question, can these be done in the “T sport/Tex” fabric?
Not a strange question at all. We have a tailor-made program where you can specify the material you prefer for your pull-handle as well as deviated stitching preferences. Just like the CXX option on the 992 S/T. See leather pull strap pic below. Please visit our site for more details
When a dealer says ALL VAG being held at port and there are cars that were on the same boat that have left the port AND been delivered, easy to call BS on what the dealer is saying. Likely has no clue.
Some dealers are very knowledgeable. Other dealers, far from it. The problem for many less experienced clients who are trying to learn is, the ones in the latter group often speak every bit as confidently as those in the former.

This has my full attention. How hard is the conversion to do?
The install is relatively easy once you remove the door panel. It's removed with basic hand tools. Then the OEM pull assembly is removed and swap in with the conversion kit. See below for tips on how to remove the door panel.

I suppose I am ambivalent on the Seahawks but do think their marketing department did a bit of research... This does have me thinking again.
added lizard interior and dials with body trim to try to get a comparo. Feels a little like a Seahawks theme, which I don’t think I’d want. Might sell well in Seattle if I ever wanted to get rid of it.

Hi all - I am jumping on to announce the end of my lurkerhood.
I’m currently DD’ing a ‘16 downpiped, cat-deleted DME stage II tuned M5 Comp with Dual Clutch Transmission and really look forward to returning to a light, responsive MANUAL transmission sports car vs my current 750 hp crazy-pants, light ‘em up, murderous bahnburner. This will be my first 911 but I’ve been to porsche driving schools at Barber in AL a good number of times so am somewhat familiar with the platform and totally excited to soon own one. Like many, 911’s were formative in my youth - I’m 51 so for me it was first and always the 959 but also the 930, the Risky Business 928, my dad’s early 924, the 944 Turbo and later the 964 and 993’s especially. Every year I’d think “is this the time? Boxster? Cayman? 911?” Now my kids are older, I never have a car full anymore, I checked off the m5 from my must have before die list and so “it’s time”.!
Awesome. I feel like i know u already also with the common car things. My family/friends (most r car designers/engineers) have had a large group chat for decades and the 959 comes up often in some manner. It’s active suspension and sequential twin turbo engine were very special. 450 hp from a smaller displacement flat 6 than our Ts….made 40 years ago. I too am a Nissan fan with unforgettable memories racing in my 20s a 400hp+ 300zx at the drag strip and all over LA & OC. It also had sequential twin turbos….virtually no lag. 3 liter six with 24 valves and twin turbos…a lot of similarities with u know what. I also had a very fast 2020 AMG E63 sedan that i sold after getting my T since it was collecting dust and although T is slower it’s way more fun to drive. With ur car experience, I’m sure you’ll figure out right options. Stick to ur heart. IMO, getting the MT is mainly it! I did follow my car chat group’s advice in getting the options I really wanted maintaining less than about 2% added weight. Many things are subjective and some may find the T perfect but i sorta understand reviewers comment that the T may be a bit sterile (ha, because it’s so good). For me, i did need to upgrade at least the audio and exhaust for my T to be the most fun car owned to date (additional mods r just bonus). U will love ur MT T! Welcome to the T crew….🍻
