Not sure if it’s the manual or the tuning, but the T feels faster to me than my S. But part of that may be due to my experience driving the 992 platform.
I bought a CPO Macan there last year. Other than it took 2 weeks to agree on price (we were $1000 apart), I had a very smooth and painless experience at Porsche Warrington.
Althought a $175K T kind of loses the value proposition lol.

I never liked how you felt more insulated in the S, like a touring car. The T intentionally feels more raw and less refined. Which may or may not be your preference.

The way the performance exhaust seeps into the cabin as the gears change is epic. I just started slipping past 5K a few times and the turbos sound glorious. So good!!

I had a deposit on an S when the T came out; glad to hear this @Icegrill bc I prefer raw and defined over touring car sensations.
Firstly, hello and thanks for all of the help I’ve gained from scouring the forums. I just placed my order, delivery June 14.
One (at least) question remains even after I did my best to look at every post on this thread and used the search function in vain- and it’s the standard lights on the T:
I see comments that they are fine, and I have deactivated matrix lights on a Merc so I’m not looking for those, but are the standard lights PDLS? They are listed as “LED” and my dealer didn’t have a good answer. I guess the question is, are they the same as the PDLS+ minus the auto dimming?
Also (I guess there was another)- is there a downside for doing the prep for a roof rack?
Thanks
Ordered my 992S in April 2019 at model launch, and took delivery 4 months later. Liked, but didn’t really love it. Ordered my ‘23 T with manual in March ‘23 and took delivery 2 months later. Instantly fell in love and bonded with it, and it is easily the best car I’ve ever owned.
Very interesting observations. I am thinking of 992.2 Targa 4S, but I like the 992 T so much that I am not as motivated to change.
I took my kids to a local cars and coffee this morning. While we were there two 991 GT3s and a Hurrican STO arrived. All three made a fantastic noise, which made me start thinking about how to perk up the sound of my T. The stock PSE is certainly not bad sounding, especially up past 6K RPM, but I’ve never kept the stock exhaust on any of my cars. Now that spring, and driving season, are almost here, it’s time to start modding.
What kinds of aftermarket exhausts are people running on their T’s? I see that both Tubi and Akrapovic sell cat backs for the 992. Anyone tried either?
Thanks all. Here’s some cars and coffee pictures for your trouble. Sorry that some have my kids in them blocking the cars
The STO The owner had it on winter tires. Great to see a car like this actually getting driven. One of the GT3s My T A few other nice 911s
Don't have a T but 1st modification to my 2021 Carrera S was an Akrapovic Ti exhaust. Had PSE and it was good but 1 month after delivery the Akra went one. Haven't looked back...its my 2nd one..had one on my 991 and was well worth the cost outlay. In fact it was one of the reasons the new owner of my 991 purchased the car from my dealer in that he'd seen my 991 before with it and loved the sound. Many others out there but must say the Akra is one of my favorites. Good luck. Gifts for the Carrera Akrapovic installed Carrera by the shore HI style...

Hi @Pivot I recall you thinking long the lines of a 4S Targa, but if you hanker a 992.2 then if 4S it will be hybrid according to the rumour channels.
I would either get a 992.1 Targa before you can't or live with what we all know now, it's the sum of it parts that make the T so alluring, and for some to say "it is the best car I've ever owned, In my opinion it's right up there with best regarding engagement out of many cars experienced over my lifetime,
Maybe like in a game of cards its time to Stick?

@LewSnafu The Standard headlights are LED but NOT PDLS +
They don't have as far as I am aware the auto dipping, cornering or speed functions, but otherwise in terms of light protectory much the same I think.
Most people seem happy with them, I did spec PDLS + and in my opinion are the best lights I have ever had on a car. Go for PDLS + if you can,
There is absolutely no downside in specking roof prep particularly at the price charged, Very useful should you ever need to carry extra gubbins !
Good luck with the wait.
Best,
Devon Racer.
@LewSnafu welcome! Standard lights are not PDLS+. I have PDLS+ on my Macan and think the standard lights on my 911 are slightly better in terms of illumination. There is zero downside to rooftop prep and huge upside to getting it. I put a rooftop tent on mine and took a 6k mi roadtrip shortly after getting my first T.

PDLS+ adds auto high beam as well as the swivel with turning. Cosmetically PDLS+ removes the silverish trim on top on of the actual light unit and it adds the chrome ring around the circumference of the headlight assemblies themselves.
Edit: For $60 the roof prep is a no-brainer, even if you believe that you will never use it yourself, the next owner might.
