I test drove a 992 T in stock at Porsche Tysons Corner today back-to-back with my 991.2 T. Personal impressions... Ice Grey Metallic is a nice color but on an overcast day it didn't seem very special. The slate gray stitching on the Standard Carrera T interior is nice and more noticeable than on the configurator - but it's pretty subtle and I doubt used buyers will seek out cars with it. The 18 way seats in the 992 weren't as comfortable to me as the 18 way seats in the 991 (as far as I can remember them - I have Full Bucket Seats in my 991). The biggest pro for the 992 is its interior, which looks much more modern. I also liked that keyless entry is standard, the 992 has wireless CarPlay, and drive modes are more configurable. Visually, I prefer the 992's wider rear and the 991's front end (I think the rounded hood looks better than the straight line on the 992). Dynamically, the 992 T felt slower, more insulated, and less nimble than my car, which admittedly has a Softronic tune, Soul cats, and DSC suspension controller. On the upside, the 992 was more planted and comfortable. That said, it was very hard to really get a feel for the car on a five-minute low-speed test drive around suburbia - and I was naturally more conservative test driving the dealership's car with a chaperone than I was on the same route with my own car.
I'll probably go down a rabbit hole now researching how to make a 992 drive and sound more like a 991... doing the same mods (sport cat and tune) would probably do a lot.
Thought you all might be interested in the side-by-side photos below.

That is sooooo cooool, @Wilder . Bravo!
I saw few of such pics in magazines, but I never knew of real person actually using the tent on top of 992.

Hi, hope its ok to ask here in T forum, as spring is slowly encroaching I have already signed up for my first track day with the T. I am seeking advice of basic track setup from experienced track T warriors. As my P dealer is adamant I do not do any mods as it would void warranty (Switzerland), therefore looking for alignment recommendations and maybe what brand of pads to use (do not like them to screech). Super excited to start in Mugello circuit. Cheers.

Another stellar Review and I think a VERY accurate one as well from a youtuber who not only owned a 991.2 T but drove that car 30K miles around the world
For a good Summary, you can just start at the 16min mark if you dont want to watch the whole video... I know @Macboy posted the teaser for this earlier!

For the first track day, go standard and get to know your vehicle... there are few places where you can push it hard without breaking the law.
Track is the perfect place to see at what point you run out of talent, before you run our of car capabilities... unless you are racing driver, but then I would hope you wouldn't be buying 992T as a dedicated vehicle.
As long as you observe the track etiquette, you will be just fine. Oh, for the first track day I would hire pro co-pilot to show you around... these guys are amazing.
