@Pivot I will check with my dealer when I get back from London next week and let you know. Yep shoes are cool but I have an even cooler pair of TODS !
Merry Christmas to you the wife and the dogs ! Best Devon Racer.
Racing yellow and shark blue are gone mid March and Ruby Star neo is gone in April or May. GT silver is safe as far as we know.
I am hoping maybe they will offer some new colors to replace those that are going away. Just seems really odd, and poor customer service, to leave the T with only red and blue as non-monochromatic colors. I think that points to the end of 992.1 T production, and maybe the start of 992.2. Also, if the new Panamera is an example - the new colors will cost more and there will be fewer no cost colors.
Thank you. I appreciate the insight.
Perhaps those being lower selected paints, they are simply projecting to run out by then since they didn't order much. Seems like paint isn't super complex though. You could just mix more.
It's probably a shift in business strategy. I did read that Porsche is perhaps considering a more F car business model. Who knows.
I’m intrigued as to why go with speed yellow stitching instead of racing? I’m all ears. Yea I’ll never get rid of my white T. This one is just cause I really like the T. I think it’s at the end of its run and it’ll keep the big miles off when I have 2. It’s The same principle I used with my air cooled and it worked when I sold them. I just think the T is like an air cooled sweet spot car.
Speed is slightly darker than racing. I suspect the same is true for stitching and if so, Speed will pop more than Racing. Have you checked them out side by side at the dealer?
Cool that you're keeping both. Though I really love it and it's very different from the new car, I'll be selling my black car.
You could be right about the T. I feel the same. These cars will likely get heavier, more powerful, and more electrified, which is a deviation from the original idea.

The four ways are fantastic. I've driven 14 hours straight on them with no issues. If you are of average size, they wrap around you and hold you in place almost as well as the buckets.
Possibly, but it is my understanding that dealerships have the availability to remove these listings on their own accord as it is not fully controlled by PCNA. My local dealership’s inbound and/or in stock new inventory are always omitted.
I hear you, but most dealerships will not go to the trouble to remove them. In fact, they like that they are listed because, as mentioned above, the listings serve as free advertising and generate calls from interested parties that sometimes lead to sales of other cars. I just don't see dealerships speccing new manuals for the showroom. In fact, I'm not sure I know a single dealership that would do this out of fear that it would just sit. Many of us on RL love the third pedal, perhaps especially here on the T board, but the masses buy automatics. This is why the manual is approaching extinction. Anyway, we're just speculating. The only way to know is to call all of the dealerships and inquire. But my guess is customer cars, at least on the new manuals.

Racing stitching is brighter than Speed (like the paints), so I expect it will pop or contrast more against the charcoal leather. However, like you, I would go with Speed, partly because I like the paint more, partly because it reminds me of older (pre-991) 911s and, last but not least, partly because it will surely be rarer on the T than Racing.

I didn't explain myself clearly above. You're right. A brighter yellow in theory pops more against a darker color. What I meant to say is not that Speed is darker but that it's more saturated and intense and will therefore pop more. And yes, I so wish Speed was the default yellow and not Racing. I would've chosen Speed in a heartbeat on my first car. I had Racing in the configurator for a while. Same with Shark. Seemingly small deviation from Maritime but Maritime is nicer. Python I like and find less of a difference compared to Viper.

I prefer Speed and Maritime (and Arrow) to Racing and Shark, as well. But as Porsche OG's, our paint color preferences are likely guided in part by nostalgia. Modern Porsche colors like Racing Yellow and Lava Orange just never hit the mark for me. Another for me is Polar Silver versus Dolomite. Polar all day long.

Maybe. I don't think so though. I think the older colors are objectively better. Mexico vs Miami is another. And yeah, never got Lava, though I do think GT Silver is probably the prettiest silver Porsche has ever made. I had a Polar 993 C4S with blue interior. Beautiful car.

I too prefer Speed Yellow over Racing Yellow. One pet peeve I've had since RY replaced SY with the introduction of the 991 and 981 is Porsche kept using SY on the calipers of cars equipped with PCCBs.
Playing around on the personal bankruptcy calculator I've come up with two builds, one for the true daily and the other for weekends. I'm still frustrated Porsche has PCCB availability so limited these days!
@toph4242 This is my arrangement I have kept the connector in the boot (trunk) away from the windscreen so it is not visible when the boot lid is closed. I am sure the charger itself is a C-Tek as it looks like all my other ones on my other cars. Seems the Porsche UK version is silver not black.
The charging cable comes out from in front of the windscreen and is not pinched when the boot lid is closed. I note you have yours connected with the car covered, I am not sure if this is a good idea as when charging I think you need some ventilation to prevent overheating ?
Season Greetings . Best Devon racer.
Thanks for sharing your setup! and appreciate the feedback on the cover situation. I discussed with my dealer and with a local Sports Car storage facility and they both said they regularly run maintenance trickle chargers under car covers... I was a little worried about fire/overheating etc but decided to trust their experience. I might play around with the wire location a bit more, but so far so good..
