992 Carrera T Club

[QUOTE=TUD;19185389]Agreed re the storage package. I did not spec it as well. If it is repeatedly used, over time the netting stretches out and looks like $hit. Example, look at any Z3 Roadster/Coupe (M models included) that had storage netting on passenger side of the transmission tunnel. If one intends to keep their 992 indefinitely then I would skip it.
The passenger net was included in the premium package on my S, no way not to get it since I wanted the premium package, but I would prefer it not being there also. I agree that if used they get "saggy" and look terrible with time. Sure enough if I remove it when the day comes to sell my car somebody will say "you got the premium package, where the h#ll is you passenger net?" LOL

Totally agree even though I like the rear seats for four reasons, 1.The interior looks unfinished to my eyes without them. 2. The insignificant weight gain (21.5 lbs seats & belts) is trivial given what little I weigh as it is not going to make any difference. 3. Resale… Per my Porsche SA with forty years of experience more buyers want them in a 911 than don’t. 4. If I wanted another sports car without rear seats I would just purchase a manual Cayman GTS 4.0, plus we own a BMW Roadster (2 seater).

I also did not spec the smoking package for the free cup. If I can afford the car, I can clearly afford to pay $75 for the cup if I desire it at a later date. 😂

I wish they would have offered stitching in other colors. Look how nice the red looks inside this 911.
Got a T allocation a few weeks ago and finally landed on a build: https://configurator.porsche.com/en-...dFrom=PRESM165
Change Freeze is 2/4, manufacturing complete 3/11, and delivery slated for 4/19

Nice build! You probably already know this, but by choosing the seat ventilation, you not only lose the sport-tex seat centers which are unique to the T, but you also lose the “911” embroidery on the head rests which would’ve been in guards red deviated stitching to match the rest of the deviated stitching package you’ve chosen. But if the aim was to make the seat centers leather, I get it.

There's nothing wrong with rear seats on a 911. For me, having kids up to 12 y/o would be the only reason to get them. Since I don't have any and therefore have no use for them, I see no reason to lug some useless weight around. I understand your preferences. Mine are that the rear seats make it look more like a GT car and less like a sports car and I could care less about resale. Do you have a link to that reference of 21.5 lbs on the rear seats?
Regarding the 21.5 lbs. The info was via a RL post by an individual that had removed the rear seats and belts from his own 911. No link, but I should have a screenshot of the post within my iPad. It will take some time to locate it though and I will have to do so sometime later this evening.

Yep, correct. Hence the bag of money emoji I used.
My dealer has had many 992 T customer orders (pre-sold units) and only one has been spec’ed in Carmine Red.

yeah that was the main aim (to make it all leather). I actually don’t care for the ventilation but that was the only way to make it a full leather kit
i hear your reasoning and I’ve been on the fence whether to go back to the Race-Tex centers or not. I hate losing the 911 on the seats but at the same time I really like the full leather look
