992 Carrera T Club
I cannot throw a stick without hitting a Macan or Cayenne around here. Dime a dozen. Range Rovers too. Ferraris on the other hand are fairly scarce. See plenty of McLarens.
Keep in mind what Jeremy Clarkson frequently said of the 911 on Top Gear, “The Porsche 911 is nothing more than a glorified Volkswagen Beetle.” Of course Richard Hammond and James May are 911 enthusiast as well as owners.

I liked the SG video. It pretty much just confirmed my expectations of what the T is about. I wonder if T allocations will become unobtainable soon. If they aren't already.

2:20 - drove mine today and luckily, only the driver's side was a little foggy.
3:07 - Canon has a hard time delivering a true red. Mostly, if you don't play a lot in post-production, you get a nice orange. Like this one.
3:24, 5:29 - I know it's a press car, but it's hilarious to observe no hints of heat cycles and people (not here in the Club, but in general) are debating if an upgrade to Cup2 would make sense for their "daily". Lol. First, trash the "UHP" street tires and then you might think about "upgrading".
7:16 - for him that turn had no apex, he just hugged the turn form the beginning to the end. At 8:15 follows the yellow line to perfection - why drive it like that when the joy is actually reading the corner and finding it's apex? Again and again? And let the car flow. Like drive it fast, but without letting your passenger know how fast.
8:00 - "it is boring" and almost at the same time loses the rear end under acceleration and chuckles. Lol. Sure.
11:36 - a lot of car industry execs, are owning Porsches. Go figure
12:18 - and this is why I like Porsche in general.
13:02 - There is the "aero" Package if you want theater with your T. Even without the "aero", every time someone sees my T, their eyes get wide and warm. I had kids following my car to where I parked and asking to look at it closer and take some pictures. And it's really only a 9-17, silver with grey wheels 911. A 911 is and will always be a 911. Also funny how every time he wants to mention a more "capable" car, he names Audi R8 or Corvette Z06. Someone said he owns a Z06, but what about the R8?! If the 911 T is "boring", then the R8 is death. Unless you replace the exhaust with an empty pipe from the exhaust port to the tip and drown the neighborhood in dB, I have difficulties to see where an R8 is more "theater" than a 911.
Continuing and talking about "performance", a track "comparo" between R8, C8 and the 992 S. The C8 manages a 1:54,6, on P4S and with Christian at the wheel. The T laps the Hockenheim in 1:55,7, on PZeros and with a less capable driver. Also, there is a good chunk of time lost when accelerating out of the hairpin. With a PDK (gets the "better" diff) on P4S and with the same driver, I think the T is at least as fast as the C8 on a Hockenheim lap. The R8, despite wearing Cup2, gets "beaten" by the 992S on PZeros.
And they close with "not that exciting". Well, look at the T lap of Hockenheim and then watch the C8 lap. The Corvette is all over the place, understeers a lot and looks like it's gliding all the time. I guess they've tried hard to be "original" and get a conclusion that was not published before...and they've tried too hard and failed. For once the T was not the "sweet spot of the range", but to call it "unexciting" , maybe "too perfect" would have been a better conclusion.

Either way I interpret it the same. Clarkson has said it many of times and in many different ways.
Clarkson Making Fun of the Porsche 911 Compilation #1
Plenty of Beetle jabs.
Clarkson Making Fun of the Porsche 911 Compilation #2
I think we all get the point. Edit: Re Clarkson’s feelings towards the 911.

Except that you didn't. I was just putting words Clarkson usually say in your sentence.
Nothing to do with the content. Something like, when you would quote "Dougy", you would put "This...", in front..
I know he always considered the 911 a "beetle" and gave Capt Slow or Hammond a hard time when they bought their 997 S (gen 1 and 2).
He also made fun of himself, with the story how he bought is first Ferrari, the 355.
Top gear, at least their version, was a unending torrent of banters about anything and everything, in a group of three friends. It was more of a comic relief show, with cars.
