I did PPF on my T and I will drive it plenty, but not on nasty roads coated with mag chloride, etc. So I'm parked for the winter. Keeping company with 2 other 911s. Beater M3 can take the abuse. Went for a visit on Saturday...a little jealous of those of you with fairer weather. Just a few more months.
No, it's market dependant and also depends on the installer.
I paid $7k for full 10mil PPF plus an extra layer on the hips.
With Ceramic coating, exosheild on the windshield, tints all around and ceramic on the wheels, they got me for almost $9k out the door.
Wow $9k !!
I also had the hips and kickplates done, the the OPC arranged for the ceramic over it but not the windshield and alloys.
In my case it was all about peace of mind.
Part of my driveway has trees hanging over it and sometimes if you saw the droppings you'd think there were vultures nesting up there
Which consist of what? Following Porsche’s recommended break-in period or something else? Edit: The way I interpret the owners manual it would be frowned upon exceeding 4k for the first 1875 miles (3,000km). Therefore keeping it under 4k.
You did see it was me you quoted right? I don’t mind people keeping it under 4000rpm for the first 1875 miles. But I do mind when people go 7200rpm immediately after passing 1876 miles. That doesn’t make any sense. Try to build that up a bit. That just can’t be wrong.

👍 Well, you know everyone’s opinion appears to vary pertaining to the break-in period. I suppose “run the car in properly” could technically be taken two different ways. (1) Following the owner’s manual or (2) An amended version of AP’s recommendation for GT cars.
Agreed regarding jumping right to redline at 1876 miles. Not ideal… It is still best to continue to break it in gradually via incrementally upping the RPM over XXX amount of miles,
Hi All,
I've been following this forum for a while and it's been extremely helpful. I have a Carrera T order placed and reached my freeze date today. Here's my build PR88WU37.
