Do I really need to drive all the way down to Mexico and record myself redlining 3rd gear? Or maybe since this is the Carrera T thread, everyone who isn't waiting for their car to arrive can go try it on their own
First to second redline is pretty fun, third is where likely most will live around town, I’m guessing?
4th to 5th, highway cruising? 6 to 7th don’t count, only to fulfill mileage regulations?
Then again, I don’t live near the Autobahn! Happy motoring. 🚘

Hi Guys! Super excited to be joining the Porsche, and specifically, the Carrera T community! My car is on the Crystal Ray, arriving in early December. I've been lurking here for a while, and it's cool to see how particularly positive this T thread is. Looking forward to joining the dialogue.
Got the call from the dealer today with a March allocation and April European delivery! For people who have done European delivery, is now too early to start booking the plane tickets and hotels for the trip?

I live there and use 6th and 7th a lot (manual T). 7th is the perfect cruise gear at higher speeds.
Actually, at least once, I've found my self reaching and trying to shift into...8th.
Love that Porsche gave us the 7th, for relaxed cruising. In a former car, normally aspirated, when driving at 75 mph you were already at 4000 rpm in sixth.
The M3 CS, left in auto, will keep the engine at 1000 rpm or similar, unless you drive on the autobahn, then it will happily rev it to the redline.
Oh man! production stage complete. woke up like a kid on Christmas morning to see the notification "Porsche completed production" on my phone!
here are some pics of the vehicle in assembly, cool to see the Carrera T graphics in place and some of the options I selected like smoked tail lamps and painted side skirts. To say I am excited would be an understatement!!!!
