Right totally agreed. Which makes it more likely that a mid 6 minute lap would be done at the GP track since it would be literally impossible at the Nordschleife. The most likely is that the stated time was wrong
You dou realize that @Barkat03 was joking 🙃, right?!😉
Sport Auto lap times:
- 981 GT4 - 7:42 min
- 991.2 S - 7:34 min
The track has since been made even faster (resurfacing and some modifications - no jump at Flugplatz, quicker Schwedenkreutz section, etc)
- 718 GT4 - 7:28 min
Would be interesting to see a comparison test at a track between the 992 T, S and the manual 718 GT4

Reason: was has
When I first spent time learning my way round the Ring in a Mini Cooper S (the 65 variety), I recall a family in front of me going through a hedge that immediately sprung back into shape.
There are a few movies on youtube, from that era, either Touristenfahrten or Porsche driving school.

Agreed. It's been my speculation that the 992 T, 997.2 GT3, and 981 GT4 are even at the track. Speaks highly of the T I think. The GT4 is such great value compared to the other two. It's what I cross shopped with the 991 T when I first started looking around.
I've ordered 12/9.5 wide wheels to put N spec F1 SuperSport Rs and will be doing a tune at some point. Both those mods, along with max'd out OE camber should make for a quick car.

Apologies if it was not clear. I was definitely not trying to make any claims or toot my own horn. 100% a joke. I assumed it was clear that I could not even approach close to that--or many minutes on top of that It was well over 10 minutes total, probably. And for all I know closer to 15 minutes. I was just happy from a Tourist perspective for all the history of the wonderful track!
@Macboy I am confused, don’t you literally drive your T everywhere? I thought for sure you would have more kilometers than that.
I was confused by that as well then I realized that was the projected range for a full tank of fuel. Wow! I think the highest I saw was about 1050 km or so!

That certainly makes sense given that the fuel pump is next to the kilometers. Truth be told, I did not even notice it until now.

Can anybody match this? 1236km or 768miles? (this is not drive it like you stole it lol)
Curious how you did this. I find that just driving at low RPM is not enough. There's a sweet spot and it seems to be around 75-80mph on 7th. I don't know because I think I lasted no more than 30 minutes driving this way (and achieving around 35mpg) before I went back to my usual 4-6k rpm mode. I'm more impressed by your restraint than how far you drove on one tank, lol.
