Price of the replicas is close to the price of the OEM upgrade but you end up with two sets instead of one, which is also nice, especially if you need a winter set. @Wilder Good info as I am totally against adding any additional weight to the vehicle.

BTW, I previously posted the same link above in post # 17704.

Unsprung weight is very much felt. Worth 3-4x static weight.

Took my T to the Colorado Concours de Elegance. Didn’t enter because it didn’t seem appropriate to compete with a car with <500 miles on it, but had a fun time displaying it and talking to passers by. Brought all my boys, proving that a 911 is a totally capable family car

I had a weekend at mont tremblant circuit (canada ) and holly crap!
friday was with porsche experience ( their car) and today Canada porsche cup with my car.
The track is beautiful, incredible track with great turns and great elevations.
The car is on rails, breaks never faded. Electronic bits/Nannies dont let the car be upset , never
I did slalom, auto cross and track , similar programmes both days.
It is just amazing that a dialy can peform like that.

I am in love with this circuit, can not wait to go again.

Drove PDK carrera S all friday and I can say that I did not miss the extra power today. Manual was easy to operate as you mainly stay in 3, and some areas 2 and 4.
Actually keeping up with a manual S and a 4 could not keep up (weight i guess)
Porsche staff and instructors are out very good, professional and passionate.
Begginers all of us.

I dont wanna look at my tires 😅.

Not everyone has good taste and at the end of the day, that badge remains attached to those eyesores. Not saying this car is. Just illustrating how PAG is allowing people to create cars that few people would want in the secondary market. The SC used to be one color. The RS used to be only a handful of color schemes. They stood out and you could tell them apart. Even the 3.2 Clubsport that precedes the T was only either white or black. I think their pendulum has swung too far to the other side.
That may be, but the glass-half-full perspective is that this makes the “properly-specced” examples all the more desirable and special.

I was originally looking for a 991.2 T manual with buckets. I looked for a year and a half and no luck.

Andy is a great salesman. And shark is a great blue. But it’s more likely shark was inspired by a cornflower VW.

What's the reason that makes you think that ventilated seats harm resale? additional weight or that they don't function properly?
I am UK based so this may only effect the US used market?

they don’t hurt resale value in my experience. I sold my other t that had ventilated seats and pulled 22k over sticker. The ventilated seats are great btw

Of course not, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be 86’d for the remainder of the 992.1 production window. We’ve seen numerous manufacturing issues and part shortages over the last few years. If there is now a SportDesign shortage, it’s smarter/easier for PAG to reject builds that have it rather than push them out. They are focused on 992.2.

Yep. And for anyone who’s been following along, this wouldn’t be at all surprising.

Default Minimum Build

I went in to the dealer hoping to spec out my car in a pretty spartan, stock manner more or less. That is when I learned of their minimum build which puts my MSRP over 150k. I feel dirty and frankly a bit disgusted by this practice. Am I alone? It is so maddening.

Yea that sucks but on the plus side, you can add leather and buckets now without remorse.
